What we heard from families inside the Dilley ICE prison was harrowing & horrific. Congress must abolish ICE, close Dilley, and put an end to family detention. And we must end the for-profit prison system that is driving the crises of mass incarceration & immigrant detention.
An article by GBH titled: Pressley renews call for ICE facility closure after oversight visit
I’ve been calling on the Trump Administration to secure Sama's immediate release, continued access to medical care, and end all unjust and arbitrary detentions. And I’ll keep fighting for Sama's release and demanding accountability from the Israeli government and the Trump Administration.
It has now been more than two months since 20-year-old Palestinian American Sama Safi—a U.S. citizen—was abducted in the middle of the night from her family home in the West Bank by armed Israeli soldiers. I recently met with Sama's parents to hear their story.

The images of the earthquake in Colombia are devastating and heartbreaking. I pray for everyone impacted, including #MA7 families away from loved ones. The US must support recovery efforts, and my office is ready to help constituents seeking information about relatives or resources on the ground.
Let's call these ankle monitors for what they are: modern day shackles. This corrupt policy to profit from suffering should be reversed immediately. Our Haitian neighbors contribute so much to our communities and they deserve to have their dignity and humanity respected.
An MSNow article titled: The loss of TPS brings another humiliation for Haitians — ankle monitors
Haitian TPS holders are business owners, caregivers, faith leaders & more who are essential to our communities & economy. TY @mayorwu.boston.gov, @ruthzee.bsky.social, & every local leader joining us in urging Congress to extend TPS for Haiti. The House did its job, and now the Senate must act.
Mayor Michelle Wu has joined more than 100 mayors and local government leaders nationwide in signing a letter calling for Congress to extend protected status for Haitians until early 2029 after the Trump administration terminated it.
While touring the Dilley ICE prison, I got to meet Emely. She plays volleyball, loves Bad Bunny, and wants to be an engineer one day. I'm so relieved that she & her father are out, but they should have never been detained to begin with. We must close Dilley, end family detention, and abolish ICE.
A photo of Emely and her dad.
Insurers shouldn't charge you more to protect your home just because of your personal credit history, which could be impacted by job losses or surprise medical bills. I'm joining @warren.senate.gov seeking answers from the biggest insurers because families deserve fair rates.

Trump is continuing his racist, sexist, and baseless attack on Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook. But it's as unlawful today as it was a year ago. We must stop this brazen, anti-Black power grab and defend the Federal Reserve's independence.
Breaking News: The White House is again considering firing the Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook after the Supreme Court blocked an earlier attempt.
Trump & Republicans' destabilizing cuts to lifelines like Social Security, Medicare, & housing programs are leaving our elders worried. I joined Central Boston Elder Services in Roxbury for a town hall to hear from our elders & discuss my work in Congress to protect these essential programs.

In Massachusetts, we're not sitting idly by while ICE terrorizes our communities. I'm grateful for all of our advocates & state leaders who fought to get the PROTECT Act over the finish line. And I'll keep fighting in Congress to abolish ICE & stand up for our neighbors.

Todd Blanche has covered up the Epstein files and shielded pedophiles. He set up a corrupt slush fund to reward white supremacists who attacked our democracy. And he has weaponized the DOJ as Trump's personal law firm. He has no business serving as AG and the Senate must reject his nomination.
BREAKING: Todd Blanche took a major step toward confirmation as attorney general after the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 12-10 on party lines to advance his nomination, likely setting up a final vote within days.
