Next time you fill up your gas tank and pay over $4/gallon, remember that it is Donald Trump alone who is responsible. Costs are going up because of Trump's unauthorized war in Iran, and it's us working families & regular people who are footing the bill.
Kicking us off this afternoon at @DemWomenCaucus & Mama’s Caucus @pettersen.house.gov “It’s never been harder for moms to thrive- it’s up to us- not just to deliver- but to right the ship and bring back the American Dream” #AffordabilityChaos #MomReceipts
It's insane that Republicans are pushing for a $400 million ballroom instead of actually funding our govt. Our TSA agents, FEMA workers, & members of the Coast Guard should have a reliable paycheck. This is a dysfunctional & unnecessary way to run the government. Americans deserve so much better.
I'm grateful no one was hurt at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, and that law enforcement acted quickly to keep people safe, but the continued escalation of political violence is terrifying. We cannot continue on like this. Political violence should have no place in America.
A gunman charged past a security checkpoint at the Washington Hilton on Saturday and exchanged fire with law enforcement officials. Police have taken a suspect into custody. Here is what to know about the shooting. nyti.ms/4etCSqL
Pete Hegseth is wildly incompetent & dangerous. He's violating our constitution by dragging us into an unauthorized war & breaking international law by targeting civilians. As a mom, I'm terrified by his actions & the long-term consequences we will face as a country. He must resign or be removed.
Pete Hegseth’s actions are reckless, violate our Constitution & international law, & have created a global crisis. The American people have absolutely no confidence in Hegseth to do this job. It’s time for him to resign – or we will remove him from office.
Pete Hegseth is wildly incompetent he’s blindly carrying out Trump’s unauthorized war in Iran that endangers the lives of our troops, national security, & our standing in the world. It's clear he's unfit to serve as Secretary of Defense. It’s time for him to resign or we'll remove him from office.
I’ve introduced Articles of Impeachment against Pete Hegseth for violating his oath, endangering U.S. servicemembers, and committing war crimes, including attacks on civilians and a girls’ school in Minab, Iran. Only Congress can declare war; his actions demand immediate removal.
Today is Tax Day—let's remember that while most families are paying more, the top 1% just got massive tax breaks. I promise to keep fighting so regular people—not just the wealthy—can afford health care, housing & child care.
The House must come back into session immediately to vote to end Trump’s war. The President is unhinged, lawless and bringing global chaos and we must stop him NOW. Our service members, Iranian civilians and our country’s national security depend on it. Read my full statement here:
This is what Democrats have been fighting for since day one. Trump kept saying NO to paying our hardworking TSA agents and other federal workers, all the while Americans unnecessarily suffered. Their incompetence is absolutely unacceptable.
$12 billion and counting for a war Congress never authorized. That's child care for 900,000 kids. Health care for 1.3 million Americans. All while Colorado families can barely afford to put a roof over their heads and food on the table.
Democrats have been fighting to make sure TSA officers get paid — Republicans said no. Now, Trump is sending ICE agents — who are not trained for airport security — to try & fix a problem he created in the first place. This is what incompetence looks like & it puts all of us at risk.
Gas was under $3 a gallon last week. Today it's almost $4 & climbing. Trump & Republicans are calling this a small price to pay. Colorado families are already stretching their paychecks through his tariffs & now his war. This is what happens when one person unilaterally starts a war with no plan.
