Everyone in the White House involved in any way with that vile, sickening racist Trump post must be fired immediately: everyone in the communications department, everyone in the press office, every deputy chief of staff, everyone involved up and down the line. Not one more tax dollar for this filth.
ICE and CBP’s cruel tactics are terrorizing American communities. We will insist that our people’s constitutional rights be respected, and we will oppose every episode of state-sponsored lawlessness and violence.
America sees the brutal violence ICE and Border Patrol are inflicting on our people and won’t allow it to continue. Trump and Noem underestimate the American people—as they say in Minneapolis, “We’ve got eyes/so stop your lies.”
Donald Trump invites Americans to believe there’s no money left to make health care affordable while he spends billions of taxpayer dollars to hire masked ICE & Border Patrol agents to intimidate, attack, arrest & even kill our people.
Mr. President, we reject these authoritarian priorities.
Massive win for the people: a federal judge granted a restraining order in our Members’ lawsuit against ICE’s unlawful effort to obstruct congressional oversight. This is a big victory for accountability and we’re going to use our rights and keep fighting for all Members' right to conduct oversight.
Happy Black History Month! We honor the remarkable contributions Black Americans have made to our nation and our communities.
As President Trump and his toadies try to censor the history of Black Americans, we celebrate loudly and proudly so we never forget that Black history is American history.
A message for my constituents in Maryland’s Eighth Congressional District on the impending partial government shutdown.
This week’s MD-08 Local Hero is Mike Stein. Along with family & neighbors, Mike volunteers with the City of Rockville’s excellent Snow Shovel program. After this week’s huge storm, they helped seniors & people with disabilities in Twinbrook dig out from the snow, sleet & ice.
The heroic people of Minneapolis and all Americans uplifting their voices and their communities to oppose Trump’s deadly authoritarianism have transformed the politics of 2026. Massive popular organizing will beat fascism. Keep marching, keep fighting everyone.
A Cold Emergency Alert has been extended until 2/3 in Montgomery County. Our community is experiencing dangerous cold weather conditions with the potential for frostbite and hypothermia.
Let’s hang together and do our part to keep ourselves and our neighbors safe and warm.
If you work for ICE or Border Patrol and have information about unlawful conduct taking place at your agency, please speak up.
House Judiciary Dems want to hear from you. America needs to know about crimes committed in our name. As a whistleblower, you can share anonymously:
We have launched our 2026 Congressional Art Competition for students living in MD-08! I encourage all high schoolers enthusiastic about the visual arts to participate and share with our community their vision and talents. Learn more:
The slaughterhouse of Putin’s filthy war on Ukraine keeps chugging along, with nearly two million people dead so far. Trump, if you force Putin’s army out of Ukraine, you’ll be a real candidate for a Nobel Peace Prize. Work with NATO and Ukraine to stop Putin’s imperialist war now.
On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the millions who were brutally murdered by Nazi terror and in concentration camps. Let today be a reminder for all people to confront antisemitism, fascism and race hatred wherever they threaten human freedom.

NEWS: @raskin.house.gov’s statement on the impeachment of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem:
This Muslim American Heritage Month, we recognize the many contributions this diverse community has made in MoCo, Maryland and across America. Together, we commit to opposing Islamophobia and all forms of hate that divide us.
Today, out-of-control masked federal agents killed another American, Alex Pretti, a VA ICU nurse.
Trump needs to end this chaos and withdraw his ICE battalions from Minneapolis.
The Senate must vote down funding this slaughter of our people.
As heavy snow and ice approach, we must all work together to stay safe. Our Montgomery County leaders have created a central portal for sharing the latest winter storm information. Hang tough!
My team and I are closely monitoring repairs to a burst sewage pipe in Montgomery County.
We’re in close touch with local officials as @dcwater.bsky.social urgently responds to remediate the spillage.
This week’s MD-08 Local Hero is Wendy Ayala, who leads the Scholars Program at Collegiate Directions. This shining star helps many young people in MCPS and their families navigate the college application process.
