Last night was about speaking up, calling out the authoritarian abuser-in-chief, and speaking loudly the names of the people murdered by Trump's fascist ICE regime. We refuse to be silenced because the state of the resistance is strong. 💪🏽
Look, if they don't like the comparison, maybe they should take off their hoods.
Rep. Delia Ramirez to DHS officials: "I have as much respect for you as I do for the last white men who put on masks to terrorize communities of color. I have no respect for the inheritors of the Klanhood and the slave patrol. Those activities were criminal and so are yours."
👏🏽 A win for Analilia is a win for all of us. In Illinois, we also have the power to stop AIPAC’s corrupting influence in our politics. In our March 17 primary, we can support progressive champions that will fight for working families. @Driver4change @junaidforus @robertjamespeters
News clip showing Analilian Mejia smiling and looking ahead with hope. In the background: people in a crowd hold signs that read “Abolish ICE”.
All across the 3rd Congressional District our coalition is out talking to neighbors about electing progressive champions at every level of government. We are supporting candidates that are meeting the moment, standing up to fascism, and centering the needs of working people.
Trump promised us to lower the cost of groceries, but he’s only made cuts to healthcare, housing, and food assistance—leaving working class families vulnerable while his billionaire friends profit from our tax dollars.
Everyday, more Americans are seeing the lawlessness and violence of ICE in their community. They are saying “enough is enough!” We must abolish ICE and hold DHS accountable. I am working everyday to make it happen.
Solidarity means opposing imperialism clearly and without apology. We stand with the Venezuelan people, the Puerto Rican people, and all those fighting for self determination and collective liberation.
As local elected officials accountable to communities shaped by displacement and state violence, we demand an immediate end to U.S. military operations, the lifting of coercive economic measures, and a return to diplomacy rooted in international law.
