This Pulaski Day, we celebrate the generations of Polish Americans who help power Illinois as workers, small business owners, educators, advocates, and neighbors.   Our diversity is our strength, and I’m proud to stand with our vibrant Polish community today and every day.
Please head to my website to apply and for more information. I look forward to reviewing submissions. Should you have any technical or eligibility questions, please contact my Skokie office at (773) 506-7100.
Community Project Funding applications are now open! If you're a local government or eligible non-profit in IL-9, submit your proposal by March 8th at 11:59 PM (CT). Let’s invest in projects that strengthen our communities.
Communities across the country are dealing with floods, fires, and other extreme weather events. Climate change is real. We need bold action to create clean energy jobs and protect our planet. I’ll always defend the environment and was proud to earn a 100% rating from @lcv.org.
Americans deserve more than rhetoric. They deserve action to lower prescription drug prices, protect earned benefits, defend fundamental rights, & build an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy & well connected. Let's keep up the fight!
The American people deserve the truth. Instead, tonight, they heard lies from President Trump. While families struggle with rising costs for housing, health care, and groceries, billionaires continue to reap record profits. I'll continue fighting for dignity and opportunity for every family. #SOTU
Gun violence is a public health epidemic and I’m done accepting moments of silence instead of action. We need universal background checks, a ban on assault weapons, safe storage laws, and real accountability for gun manufacturers. Lives are worth more than NRA donations. #SOTU
Voting rights are under attack. Courts are being politicized and the rule of law is under fire. We must fight back to protect our elections, defend our democracy, and make sure every voice is heard. We can and we must win. #SOTU
Illinois is stronger because of our immigrant communities. From small businesses to essential workers, immigrants are part of who we are. They deserve dignity, protection, and a pathway to citizenship. Fear and militarization are not solutions. #SOTU
Republicans in Congress want to gut Social Security and Medicare to bankroll tax breaks for billionaires. I’ll continue fighting every day to block cuts, stop privatization, and defend these hard-earned benefits. Social Security and Medicare are vital programs and we must keep them strong. #SOTU
Trump & Republicans refused to extend the ACA premium tax credits - forcing 24 million Americans to face higher premiums. Families across the country now have to choose between keeping their coverage or paying higher costs. THIS is Trump's health care plan: make you pay more, cover less. #SOTU
Let’s be clear: Trump’s tariffs are illegal. We knew it and the Supreme Court agreed. Working families should never pay the price for corruption and greed. We will keep fighting. #SOTU
I hear the same thing from families all across my district. Costs are too high and paychecks are not stretching far enough. Working families should not be squeezed while billionaires get tax breaks. #SOTU
I’m not attending tonight’s State of the Union. I can’t sit there and pretend everything is fine while our rights are under attack and working families are struggling. This isn’t normal. We should not treat it like it is. #SOTU
