I'm closely monitoring the outbreak of violence in western Mexico.
Arizonans: If you or a family member are in need of assistance, contact my office by calling 1-833-643-6114 or visit stanton.house.gov/help.
In a meeting with senior AZ ICE leaders, agents told @repyassansari.bsky.social and I they had not been informed about the proposal to build a $75 million detention center nearby in Surprise, AZ.
They learned about it on the news like everyone else, and to this day have not been briefed on plans.
Congratulations to Team USA for winning the gold medal in men’s hockey.
A special congrats to Team Captain and Arizona native Auston Matthews. 🥇🇺🇸
Team USA defeats Canada in overtime to win its first Olympic men's hockey gold since 1980's "Miracle on Ice" team. Follow live updates. https://cnn.it/46nzKrn
Thanks to all who came out to our town hall in Tempe today.
You want leaders fighting for affordability and against efforts to suppress voter participation. I'll continue to do so in Washington.
Small and family-owned businesses operate on razor-thin margins, and Trump's illegal tariffs hit them hardest.
I'm proud to have helped introduce the RELIEF Act to automatically refund the tariffs small businesses paid.

Six Chandler schools just earned the Arizona Educational Foundation’s A+ School of Excellence recognition — one of the highest recognitions a school can receive.
Congratulations to the administrators, educators, staff, parents, and of course students on this achievement. You’ve earned it!

I’m relieved Kelly Yu is back with her family. This administration is burning enforcement resources on people like her instead of violent criminals.
I visited Kelly in July and pressed ICE on her case, and we are continuing to work with her family following her release.
Trump's illegal tariffs took money from the pockets of American families and small businesses.
They need to be repaid as soon as possible.
Thank you to @azagmayes.bsky.social and the 11 other state Attorneys General who helped challenge them in court and get this across the finish line.
Striking down these tariffs is a win for American families, businesses, & the economy as a whole.
Thank you to the 190 Members of Congress who signed onto my effort to rescind these illegal tariffs & to the brave organizations—particularly the New Civil Liberties Alliance—who fought them in court.
"Amazon Prime, but with human beings." That's how ICE described its plan to turn mega warehouses into detention and mass deportation facilities.
Today's the LAST DAY to tell DHS you oppose building a new detention center in Arizona. Share your thoughts ⬇️

I was proud to present Executive Director Dr. Whitaker and President Dr. Levitt with a Congressional Record honoring this incredible milestone.
I'm grateful for your work and for flying the flag at half-mast in honor of Rev. Jesse Jackson.
This year marks the Carver Museum's 100th anniversary.
Once a segregated high school, Carver is a national historic landmark dedicated to preserving and sharing Arizona’s African American history, art and culture.
Trump's tariffs were always an illegal tax on the American people. The Supreme Court affirmed that today.
This decision upholds a fundamental principle of our Constitution: Congress, not the president, has the power to levy taxes on the American people.
When we deny opportunities to our servicewomen and men to attend leading universities, it is harder to recruit and keep top talent in uniform.

We already know Americans are paying for 90% of Trump’s illegal tariffs. Businesses are passing even more of these taxes directly onto their customers.
It's past time to scrap Trump’s illegal tariffs and bring down costs for working families.

🚨 TOMORROW is ICE’s deadline for public comments on its proposed 1,500-bed detention center in Surprise, AZ.
I’ll be sharing the community’s feedback anonymously with DHS. Let me know your thoughts. 👇

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
