Devastated to learn of the passing of New Mexico’s own, Dolores Huerta. A friend. A mentor. A real life super hero. Dolores helped organize a movement that changed our country. From farmworkers to working families, women, & communities whose voices were often ignored, she was a voice for change.
Friends – there is so much going on right now – from the election, to catastrophic flooding, cyber attacks, Epstein investigations, and so much more. Here is your update on all the things and your daily reminder to get out and vote! ⬇️🍁🎃
We love our Land Grants! From Chilili, to Carnuel, Tajique and Torreón to Tomé, Anton Chico to Las Huertas and Manzano—New Mexico’s land grants are the keepers of generations of tradition, stewardship, and connection to the places that have sustained families for centuries.
To all of our friends in the Four Corners being impacted by these floods please stay safe, follow evacuation orders, and take care! As someone who was born in Farmington, just one block from the San Juan River, my heart is breaking to see the flooding in so many of our communities.
Happy Friday Everyone! It’s fall in New Mexico and our favorite time of year. What better way to celebrate than to GO VOTE! 🍁🗳️💕 Whatever your political stripe—it’s time to go vote. Early Voting is open all across New Mexico and the country. Your vote is your voice! Let’s do this!
In NM, art is inscribed into everything we do. I’m working every day to invest in artists & art institutions—from securing cpf & investing in the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, to Roots Conservatory of the New Mexico Black Leadership Council, & historic buildings like WPA-built Estancia Town Hall.
In New Mexico, water is life. I have spent my career dedicated to working on water, conservation, & community development. I have fought to protect our lands & waters, to pass legislation protecting the sacred sites & water rights of Tribes & Pueblos, & to protect Chaco Canyon.
We’re here to stand with survivors! Days ago a colleague was violently sexually assaulted in Phoenix. As a member of the Democratic Women’s Caucus we’re here to stand with Bernadette Greene-Placentia and all survivors. Because, survivors’ voices matter. Survivors’ stories matter. ❤️‍🩹
In New Mexico—we take care of each other. Whether it’s our elders, veterans, or families in need. That’s why we’re fighting to protect Social Security & Medicare, why I fought against DOGE privatizing these programs, and the cruel policies that have left millions without healthcare and food. (1/2)
Mr. President, our state is not yours to rename. Our history is not yours to erase. Our culture and identity run deep, shaped by generations of New Mexicans long before you or the U.S. were here at all. We are proud of who we are and where we come from. Because we are New Mexicans.
In New Mexico, food & agriculture are a way of life! I have worked to secure millions to support our farmers & ranchers, upgrade acequia & irrigation infrastructure, build & support food banks. It’s also why I worked to co-found the Food and Hunger Caucus in the New Mexico state legislature. 🐴🌾🐓
From the war in the Middle East to undermining our allies & threatening our national security, the stakes could not be higher! We cannot afford to sit this election out, as our national security, our communities, and our future are at risk. Time to get out & vote. Our future depends on it!
