Help me tell Senate Republicans to knock it off by posting a picture of your favorite public land in Michigan or ANYWHERE! We won't let them secretly sell of our national treasures.
Republicans in the Senate have slipped a provision into the "Big Beautiful Bill" to be able to sell of 3 million acres of public land across Western states (for now). Our public lands are not for sale!
Congrats to our Whitecaps for clinching a playoff spot! We’ll be rooting for you the whole way, go knock it out of the park! ⚾️ www.woodtv.com/sports/west-...
Vincity Energy is electrifying Grand Rapids! ⚡️
I was proud to stand alongside local partners to kick off their electrification plans with the installation of a 9MW electric boiler, in line with Grand Rapids’ plans to reach 100% renewable energy.
I’m so excited about a greener future in West MI!
On Juneteenth, we remember the courage of those who fought for freedom and the resilience of generations that followed. Today, we honor that legacy by continuing the work toward racial justice.
In Congress, I’ve made child protection and community safety a top priority, and I’m determined to keep up this work and support programs like CASA.
I hosted a roundtable with AG Nessel and leaders from the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children program this week. CASA programs are facing real and devastating federal funding cuts, which will directly impact kids in our communities.
Congratulations to Grand Rapids Catholic Central girls soccer and their coach, Genevieve Sander, on their Division 3 MHSAA Finals title! ⚽️
Our community is so proud of all that you’ve accomplished. www.mhsaa.com/sports/girls...
Republican-led SNAP cuts would devastate affordable groceries and the facilities that provide them — like the Community Food Club in Grand Rapids.
I’m working every day to collaborate with community members and colleagues in Congress to push back on devastating cuts to SNAP.
Please stay tuned for the new date, and I hope to see you all there. Keep yourselves safe and well, West Michigan.
West Michigan, I want nothing more than to hear from you in person during town halls and other events.
However, after the events of this weekend, Team Scholten has decided to postpone our event tonight in Muskegon for the safety of everyone involved. 🧵
I wrote a letter to Sec. of Commerce Howard Lutnik and NSIT Director Craig Burkhardt urging them to do just that. Read more here.
Dept. of Commerce and the Trump Administration must continue to invest in Michigan’s unrivaled manufacturing output to spur job growth and maintain our competitiveness and edge in the global manufacturing space. 🧵
Wishing all the dads and father figures out there a Happy Father’s Day! I’m so grateful to have two great dads in my life: my own dad, Scott, who has inspired me my whole life, and my husband, Jesse, who is the absolute best dad to our boys. Love you guys! 💙
Hope to see you this Monday, June 16th in Muskegon for the first town hall in my Scholten Summer Town Hall Series.
RSVP at scholten.house.gov/townhall.
Wherever it flies, the American flag stands as a beacon of liberty, democracy, and hope. On Flag Day, we’re proud to honor this time-honored symbol of our nation. It belongs to all of us, and it’s up to all of us to keep her flying free.
Proud to announce 3 bills I’m leading in @transportdems.bsky.social that would make roads safer for kids, strengthen rural infrastructure, and support American industry. 🚸🚜🏭
Ready to get to work getting these important bills passed!
I’m praying for our brave men and women in uniform, innocent civilians, the Israeli people, and for peace.
This is a deeply dangerous moment for our ally, Israel, and for the entire world.
We must continue supporting our democratic ally, Ukraine, in its fight against authoritarianism. Great to meet with Michiganders from the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America to discuss my firm commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty.
I’m a proud cosponsor of the Veterans Infertility Treatment Act of 2025 and the Equal Access to Contraception for Veterans Act — two important pieces of legislation that address the specific needs of our women veterans.
