Everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home, but the housing crisis is putting that promise out of reach for too many families. People are working hard and still can’t afford housing. We need solutions that bring costs down so everyone has a place to live.
Today I visited the Amazon fulfillment center in Caledonia. It was great to see how small businesses in West Michigan are using the platform to grow and reach new customers.
I stopped by Cascade Engineering today to learn about their new flood barrier technology being developed and manufactured here in West Michigan. Investments in flood resilience help keep our communities safe and protect local infrastructure.
I joined West Michigan farmers at Green Wagon Farm today for a roundtable conversation about agriculture, conservation, and the challenges facing family farms. I’m grateful for the chance to listen and bring their voices back to Washington.

I spent the morning with students from Grand Rapids Public Museum High School’s Youth in Government program. After hearing their ideas and questions, I can confidently say: the kids are going to be alright.
