Last Thursday, my office hosted our second annual Job & Resource Fair in Stafford.    I'm grateful that we were able to connect more than 250 job seekers to dozens of hiring employers and resource providers in the region.     Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!
June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month💜  This month, we honor those living with Alzheimer’s, support caregivers, and raise awareness about the importance of brain health. Together, we can help advance understanding, encourage early detection, and work toward a future without Alzheimer’s.
It was great to join local leaders and Virginians at the Prince William County Juneteenth and Me celebration! Juneteenth honors the end of slavery and celebrates the freedom, resilience, and contributions of generations of Black Americans. Thank you to everyone who made this celebration special.
Virginians deserve affordable access to healthy food, no matter where they live. I introduced bipartisan legislation to keep neighborhood grocery stores open, strengthen local economies, and lower costs for working families. It’s time to support the local stores that support our communities.
On June 19, 1865, Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Texas and issued an order enforcing the Emancipation Proclamation, bringing freedom to enslaved people. Today, we honor the significance of Juneteenth and recommit ourselves to building a more just future for all.
🎉NEW GRANT ALERT!     I’m proud to have helped secure nearly $1.8 MILLION in Head Start Funding for Orange County Public Schools.    This investment will help ensure that young learners and their families can benefit from the high-quality early education and support they need to succeed.
No family should have to worry about putting food on the table.  I’m leading a bipartisan bill to cut taxes for the small, independent grocery stores that serve as lifelines in underserved communities.  I'm working to expand access to affordable, nutritious food and help lower costs for families.
With school out for the summer, many families across Virginia are looking for resources to help keep their children fed.  Several school districts in VA-07 are offering free summer meals for kids. Read below to find locations and learn more about available meal distribution sites.
Yesterday marked the 14th anniversary of DACA, which has allowed hundreds of thousands of Dreamers to work, study, support their families, and contribute to the country they call home.   We must continue working toward permanent protections and a pathway to citizenship.
I’m deeply saddened by the loss of eight crewmembers in the B-52 crash at Edwards Air Force Base.    My thoughts are with their families and loved ones. May their service and sacrifice never be forgotten.
As a dad, I know just how important programs like Head Start are for giving every student the chance to thrive.      I'm glad to see that $3,573,772 is heading to Culpeper County to support local Head Start programs.   Read more about the funding here 👇
Congratulations to the Forest Park High School Class of 2026!  It was an honor to celebrate this important milestone with the graduates and the educators who helped make this achievement possible.  Wishing the Class of 2026 continued success as they begin the next chapter of their journeys.
Diesel prices are rising. Grocery bills are climbing. And farm country is paying the price.  All because of Republicans’ war of choice with Iran.  Virginia families, farmers, and truckers shouldn’t have to foot the bill for reckless decisions in Washington.
Happy 251st Birthday to the United States Army! As a 25-year Army veteran and member of the House Armed Services Committee, I’m honoring the courage, commitment, and sacrifice of the soldiers who have defended our nation since 1775. Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve.
One year ago, Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were killed in an act of political violence.    I’m thinking of their children, loved ones, colleagues, and all those whose lives they touched.    As we honor their memory, we must recommit to rejecting political violence.
