My community will be horribly hurt by Republicans' healthcare cuts.
But local health leaders and citizens fear speaking out about it because Trump and DeSantis govern through vengeance and intimidation.
The GOP healthcare crisis and shutdown must end.

I met health leaders in my district yesterday who were clear: costs go up for all of us if the GOP healthcare crisis doesn't end.
Without ACA tax credits, more people get sicker due to lack of care and more will resort to ERs. That shifts costs on to all of us.
I'm fighting to lower health costs. Yet amid a gov't shutdown – as troops and public servants work without pay – GOP Speaker Johnson extends House Republicans' vacation.
We need to work on an agreement, not run from negotiations.
As healthcare costs are set to skyrocket and public servants work without pay, Republicans just extended their vacation.
I'm ready to lower prices for American families, but Republicans need to show up to work.
I just met with key health leaders and advocates to hear what the ongoing Republican shutdown and healthcare crisis would to do our hospitals and the people who count on quality coverage to stay healthy.
Here's what I heard:

Over 200,000 people in my district will see healthcare costs skyrocket if Republicans continue their assault on affordable healthcare.
Republicans need to negotiate a spending bill that stops this healthcare crisis from getting worse.

I wish an easy fast and meaningful day to those observing Yom Kippur.
Let us reflect on the past year and resolve to work in the year ahead to improve ourselves and our communities.
In my district alone, over 200,000 people will see healthcare costs skyrocket and 82,000 will lose coverage overall due to this Republican healthcare crisis.
The GOP needs to negotiate a funding deal that opens the government and saves Americans' healthcare.
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, join me in honoring breast cancer fighters, survivors, their families and caregivers.
As a survivor myself, I want to remind you to please get an annual screening. It may save your life.
Instead of coming to the table to negotiate, Republicans let government funding run out, and shut down our federal government last night.
To learn what that means for you, visit my website: wassermanschultz.house.gov/legislation/...
Instead of keeping the lights on, House Republicans didn’t show up to work.
They need to come to the table to negotiate a spending deal that protects Americans’ healthcare.
At midnight tonight, government funding runs out.
I'm live with @frost.house.gov and @repdarrensoto.bsky.social to highlight Republican efforts to rip away healthcare from millions of Floridians in their partisan spending plan.

Healthcare is increasingly out of reach for far too many.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social understand this, so we're fighting to keep government open while lowering health care costs.

Hey House Republicans, cancel your vacation. Cancel the cuts. Lower costs. Save health care.
I just came out of the House Chamber to demand a vote on @housedemocrats.bsky.social's proposal to fund the government and protect Americans' healthcare.
With hours left until a shutdown, Republicans decided to not show up for work and close the chamber down.
Democrats are in Washington, ready to work to avoid a shutdown and protect Americans' health care.
But Republicans refuse to negotiate, and went on vacation instead.
Republicans have steered us into a healthcare crisis.
There's less than a 24 hours until the government shuts down because they refuse to protect Americans' healthcare from massive price hikes.
I'm hosting a virtual town hall TONIGHT at 7:30PM to share what I'm doing to prevent the GOP healthcare crisis from getting worse and give you the latest on a possible government shutdown.

Iran has blatantly violated restrictions on its nuclear program, posing a direct threat to the U.S. & our allies.
I'm glad our European partners reimposed sanctions. We must keep pressure on the Iranian regime until their weapons-grade enrichment ends.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
