Rosa Parks showed how one choice can change a nation. Join me next Friday for The Power of One: In the Company of Courage, Ohio’s 20th Annual Tribute to Rosa Parks, with Rep. Clyburn, Ed Gordon, and OSU President Ted Carter, and COTA CEO Monica Téllez-Fowler.
RSVP today: bit.ly/ROSAAT20 or bio link.
As we gather this Thanksgiving, I am grateful for the unity, kindness, and determination that define our Ohio community. Today reminds us that even in challenging moments, we find hope in one another and in the values that keep us moving forward: gratitude, service, and unity.
My heart is with the families of the National Guard service members shot today. Violence has no place in our country. I am grateful for the officers and first responders who arrested a suspect. Let us keep these service members and their loved ones in our prayers during this difficult time.
Join me on Dec 5 for The Power of One: In the Company of Courage, Ohio’s 20th Annual Tribute to Rosa Parks, with Rep. James Clyburn, OSU Pres Carter, & COTA President & CEO Monica Téllez-Fowler. We will honor 3 Ohioans who embody the power of one.

Today, I stopped by a local Kroger in Columbus to thank their employees for everything they do for the community - especially as we approach the holiday season!
I joined Mayor Ginther and other Columbus leaders earlier today at the Olentangy Trail Ribbon Cutting. Thank you to OhioHealth, Columbus Parks and Rec and all the community partners who made this trail connection possible.
Nydia Velázquez, a New York Trailblazer in Congress, to Retire Next Year: She has broken barriers and lifted communities her entire career. It’s been an honor to work with her on Financial Services and to witness her leadership on the Small Business Committee. Grateful for her friendship & service.
Last week, I joined Colleen Marshall on Sunday Briefing, to talk about why I voted against the Republican betrayal bill, and why Democrats are demanding action on health care now.
The affordable health care of millions of Americans is still at stake. But House Democrats will continue the fight.
After a long and difficult shutdown, Ohioans are ready to reconnect and move forward together. Few symbolize unity and courage like Rosa Parks. Join me for “The Power of One” as we celebrate 20 years of Rosa Parks Day in Ohio. RSVP today: bit.ly/ROSAAT20
Last night, after voting to release the Epstein files, I joined the survivors at a vigil to honor their experience, and stand in solidarity. They deserve justice and the American people deserve the truth.

Minority Depository Institutions (MDIs) like Adelphi Bank in Columbus, Ohio increase access to affordable financial services in underserved communities.
I was proud to recognize them today, and I'll continue to fight for MDIs on the House Financial Services Committee.
OH-03, we want to hear from YOU! 🗣️. Will rising health care costs in the ACA Marketplace (Obamacare) affect you? Is your Medicaid coverage at risk under Trump’s One Big Beautiful Act? Your story matters. Help us fight for Ohioans. Share your story here: https://bit.ly/3JSyXqu
Hardworking families deserve affordable housing and vibrant neighborhoods. I’m proud to have introduced a bipartisan bill that empowers banks to invest more in our communities and support small businesses. Read more here: https://bit.ly/3K37yC9
Tonight’s vote drives the country deeper into a crisis that Republicans created. Please see my full statement on the House budget vote here: https://bit.ly/3XnCAHY
After a historic Republican delay, I am proud to celebrate Congresswoman Grijalva’s swearing-in as the newest Member of Congress and the 97th woman in the Democratic Caucus. Her passion for Arizona’s 7th District already shines—thrilled to welcome her to the House, where she belongs.
Health care is under attack, again.
This Republican bill betrays working Americans and their families.
Democrats are standing firm against it to stop the cuts, lower costs, and protect care for everyone who depends on it. I'm voting NO.
Today, we honor the brave men and women who served our nation—those who came home and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Your courage and service protect the freedoms we cherish. Thank you to all who have worn the uniform and to the loved ones who share them with us.
It has been a great privilege and honor to serve alongside Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman in the U.S. House. She is a skilled legislator, a dedicated public servant, and one of my dearest friends in Congress. Please read my full statement on her decision not to seek re-election: https://bit.ly/47LkR1R
Ahead of Veterans Day, I am proud to celebrate the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Honorees. To our honorees: you have served our country honorably, and you continue to make significant contributions to our community. Thank you for your service. See the full list of inductees here: https://bit.ly/4nOlj5G
As Veterans Day approaches, the Trump Administration has continued efforts to diminish the contributions of Black veterans and weaken equity efforts at the VA. I’ve introduced two resolutions to honor their service, close racial gaps, and preserve their legacy: https://bit.ly/488b5by
