When health care is at stake, everyone is affected. During my virtual town hall, I answered questions from my district and across Ohio, about the real-life impact on Ohio's families, if we lose critical coverage. Didn't get a chance to tune in? 🔗 Watch the full thing here: https://bit.ly/4nd2FE1
I joined a committee hearing on the Republican Shutdown to amplify the real-life impact on Americans, if Republicans don't act NOW to save health care. Thank you, to these storytellers, for sharing their perspectives. It's time to reopen the government, save health care, and get back to work.
Trump's destruction of the East Wing is another example of his disregard for our country's history and the real issues Americans are facing. The East Wing, visited by thousands, annually, during White House tours, hold decades of history— across both political parties. Here are my favorite moments.
Throwback to when I visited the students and educators at Reynoldsburg City Schools. Many of them rely on affordable care and wanted to know why the govt. is shut down. I told them —no health care, no vote. Republicans know what needs to happen: a deal that protects care, so we can get back to work.
Republicans are lying again. We don't have time — NOW is the time to reach a deal that opens the government and saves health care for the American people. Stop the cuts, lower the costs, and save health care. Period.
The next generation of Ohio’s leaders are in our public schools. I’m thankful to have served as Principal for a Day with Reynoldsburg City Schools, meeting students, answering their questions, and sharing my passion for public service. 🧑🏽‍🏫🍎📚 Thank you to the RCS team for having me!
Arizona’s 7th District elected Adelita Grijalva, yet Speaker Johnson REFUSES to swear her into Congress. She would be the final signature needed to release the Epstein files. He has already sworn in three others. I joined DWC Chair Fernández and Grijalva to demand that we #SwearHerIn.
Instead of being in Washington to get government reopened, House Republicans are on a FOURTH week of vacation. It's just wrong. There's no question — Democrats are here and ready to reach a deal that includes YOUR affordable health care.
Republicans shut down the government instead of working with us to lower health care costs. Now, premiums will skyrocket if they don't act. We're focused on what matters: working to reopen the government and lowering costs for the American people. 🔗Watch the full clip here: https://bit.ly/4haCUmA
Honored to join this year’s Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame ceremony as one of last year’s inductees. Congratulations to the 2025 honorees, and thank you to the Ohio Civil Rights Commission and its sponsors for continuing this powerful recognition and for advancing the ongoing pursuit of justice.
Pleased to join my HBCU family at Central State University to discuss protecting higher ed funding, affordable health care, and reopening our government. Wonderful connecting with President Kuti, students, and my sorors—and proud to provide scholarships to two outstanding Marauders.
Our right to vote isn't negotiable. I joined Senator Padilla, Skye Perryman from Democracy Forward, and Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon, to advocate for Ohio voters and discuss our bill, which will establish stronger voter protections. 🏛️More about it here: bit.ly/3W03i8Z
