Today, we honor the 16th anniversary of the ACA, which expanded affordable healthcare coverage to 50+ million Americans. Yet, Republicans refused to extend the tax credits, doubling and tripling costs. Democrats are holding the line and advocating for critical care — because families depend on it.
Last week, I was honored by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce with the Visionary Leader Award at their annual Women in Business Summit. Thank you to Steve Stivers, President and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, and the entire Chamber team for presenting me with this distinguished award.
Today, we join in celebrating Irish heritage and the values of community and friendship. We also recognize the important role Irish Americans have played in shaping our nation. Wishing you all a joyful Saint Patrick's Day! ☘️
My condolences are with the families of the six Air Force members who were killed in the refueling crash: Maj. John A. Klinner, Capt. Ariana G. Savino, Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt, Capt. Seth R. Koval, Capt. Curtis J. Angst, and Tech. Sgt. Tyler H. Simmons. We are deeply grateful for their service.
Statement regarding today’s federal court ruling ordering the Trump administration to allow my participation in Monday’s Kennedy Center board meeting and provide access to materials related to the Kennedy Center demolition. 🔗 Read the full statement at the link here: https://bit.ly/4cNjEvc
Heartbroken to hear that U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Tyler Simmons, was one of the six servicemembers killed in a refueling aircraft crash. My heart is with Tyler’s family and the families of the other five servicemembers who were killed, including two other Ohioans. We will remember their sacrifice.
Yesterday, I attended a federal court hearing demanding that I have a voice at the upcoming Kennedy Center meeting, voting rights as an ex-officio board member, and full transparency into Trump's plans to close the Kennedy Center. I will not stop raising my voice. 🔗More here: https://bit.ly/4lLVi7L
My friend, the powerful Rep. Clyburn is a pillar of Congressional leadership. His unmatched institutional knowledge has delivered incredible wins to SC-06. For over thirty years, he has been a faithful steward of this seat, and I look forward to continuing our shared work on behalf of Americans.
I am horrified by today’s attack on Temple Israel in Michigan. I’m thankful the students are safe and praying for the injured security guard’s recovery. Antisemitism must be condemned in every form. We must speak out against this rising hate and stand with our Jewish neighbors.

On Harriet Tubman Day, we honor the abolitionist who fought tirelessly for freedom and justice. Ten years after she was chosen to be on the $20 bill, Americans are still waiting. It’s past time to fulfill this commitment and ensure our currency reflects her legacy and the full story of our nation.

Proud to co-lead H.R. 7688, the DPA Modernization Act, with Rep. Davidson, Rep. Vargas, Rep. Huizenga, and Rep. Nunn, which passed unanimously through FSC markup last week. This bill reauthorizes the Defense Production Act, makes enhancements to the law, and protects Americans in times of crisis.
