Today’s deadly shooting by ICE agents in Minneapolis shows an emerging and tragic pattern: these agents are becoming the greater danger to our communities than the people they claim to pursue for our protection.
Under HUD's proposed Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity, 10k Ohioans — families, children, veterans, and more — will lose their homes. Today, I confronted Sec. Turner about this drastic policy shift — he couldn't answer me. It's clear: the Trump Admin is worsening the housing crisis.
Trump’s effort to fire Fed Governor Lisa Cook is a power grab that threatens Fed independence and Americans’ economic security.

Today, I stood with Ranking Member Maxine Waters and House Democrats at the Supreme Court ahead of oral arguments on Trump’s attempt to fire Fed Governor Lisa Cook. Our economy depends on an independent Fed guided by data, not political pressure, to protect businesses and family budgets.
Last year, Ohioans paid $1,532 more due to Trump's inflation. Trump promised to “bring down costs." Last week, he even claimed that “inflation is defeated" — but a year into his presidency, Ohioans are paying the price of his affordability crisis. When will he start prioritizing our families?
I was honored to join the City of Columbus' Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day March and Program, in the spirit of Dr. King's march towards justice and equality. In these trying times, Dr. King's message inspires us to keep the fight, engage in our communities, and raise our voice for common change.
I was honored to join Columbus leaders and introduce the keynote speaker at this morning’s 41st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast. In our ongoing fight for Ohio's working families, I'm proud to have celebrated Dr. King's legacy with my community, while honoring the work that lies ahead.
Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Ohio! May Dr. King's wisdom guide us through this new year and all the years to come, as we continue the fight for health care, voting rights, and justice for all.
Today, I announced over $5.6 million in funding, that I secured to invest in community projects in Central Ohio. These dollars will support diverse initiatives that serve so many corners of Columbus. 🔗Learn more here: https://bit.ly/3LP4xGq
Trump is prioritizing his own self-interests over national security. As a member of FSC Democrats, I will always advocate for mechanisms to keep our financial system safe from fraud and corruption.
An independent Fed is CRITICAL to our economy and the household finances of Americans. Trump's weaponization of DOJ to take control of the Fed threatens YOUR bank account.
Chair Powell has served with honor and integrity, and I stand with him in his commitment to keep the Fed independent.
Check out this excerpt from my conversation with Julie Mason on SiriusXM's The Julie Mason Show. We cover attacks on Jerome Powell, ACA tax credits, ICE accountability, and why civic engagement matters. ▶️ Listen to the full interview here: https://bit.ly/49VCyxZ.
ICE cannot operate in our communities unchecked. Operation Buckeye, ICE’s Columbus enforcement operation, is terrorizing many immigrant and refugee families and hurting our economy.
I’m demanding transparency and accountability for our community.

This week, I spoke on the House Floor to celebrate OSU Wexner Medical Center's new hospital. It isn't just a facility - it's the future of health care. Columbus is stronger and healthier because of this milestone.
Tonight, I honor the life and legacy of civil rights trailblazer Claudette Colvin. May she rest in power.
Tonight, I spoke on the House floor to honor Delta Sigma Theta’s Founders Day. Founded 113 years ago by 22 courageous Black women at Howard University. Earlier today, I introduced a congressional resolution honoring that legacy. I’m proud to carry it forward alongside my sorors in Congress.
Happy Founders Day, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated!🐘🔺
Happy Founders' Day, Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated! For the past 113 years, Delta women have led with power and purpose, championing sisterhood, scholarship and service, while addressing the social issues of our time. I am proud to serve alongside my Delta sisters in Congress. 🔺🐘
Please see my statement on the Department of Justice Investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
Tonight I spoke on the House Floor to celebrate OSU Wexner Medical Center's new hospital, that I toured this morning. It isn't just a hospital -- it's the future of health care. Columbus is stronger and healthier because of this facility, and I'm proud to celebrate this milestone.
