Trump and Republicans are ready to let health care tax credits expire - leaving MILLIONS of Americans with higher premiums and expensive care options.
Prescription drugs, annual visits, specialty care, and everyday life will continue to cost A LOT MORE because of irresponsible Republican policy.
Will continue to support Lundquist and biomedical innovation that will support access to essential care for Americans.
Congrats to @thelundquist.bsky.social Institute at Harbor-UCLA on your new federal grant award from the FDA to improve care for people with coronary artery disease. Your work is critical to the health of so many in our #CA44 communities.
Today is the start of #HispanicHertiageMonth, a time to honor the vibrant culture, rich traditions, and lasting contributions of our Hispanic communities in #CA44 and across the nation. Now, more than ever, we must uplift our neighbors, celebrate our roots, and continue to build a brighter future.
I will continue to fight back and call out the disgusting actions approved by Republicans and carried out by this Administration.
And the only reason they’re being targeted is because they speak Spanish, look Latino, or work in demanding manual labor jobs.
This is WRONG and SCOTUS has allowed this blatant racist targeting to continue.

Calling all job seekers in CA-44! #TeamBarragán is hosting our annual jobs fair October 3rd where community members will have the chance to talk with employers and hear about job openings in the district.
Thanks to the #TrumpTariffs, grocery prices are on the rise in every major category— meaning working American families will struggle to pay for basic goods like:
-Meat 🥩
-Fruits and vegetables 🌽 🍎
-Dairy products 🥛
No American should have to worry if they can afford their groceries for the week.
Over a million Americans are now unable to use their Medicaid insurance at Planned Parenthood centers and hundreds of clinics will be at risk of closing. This will have devastating impacts on women’s health care across the country.
This is just one of the many constituent cases that our team has successfully resolved. If you or your organization require federal assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to my district office — we’re here to help!
Our team started working with the IRS right away to get Habitat for Humanity of Greater LA’s year-old application moving through the system. We stayed on top of the IRS until it was taken care of — and helped secure over $500K in tax credits, including interest owed!
When Habitat for Humanity of Greater LA didn’t hear back from the IRS on their Employee Retention Credit refund, they called #TeamBarragán!
These grants aren’t discriminatory — they give opportunities to minority and disadvantaged students and level the playing field in higher education.
Trump continued his attack on education this week by cutting grants for minority-serving colleges and universities - including taking $ away from CSUDH in my district.

Today, we honor the lives lost, the heroic actions of first responders, and the resilience of survivors on September 11, 2001. We will #NeverForget the courage, unity, and strength that came in the face of tragedy.
