The problem with tonight’s UFC fight is the grift. For Trump’s birthday vanity project, he’s using OUR White House as a billboard for corporations. If only he’d spend this much effort on lowering people’s everyday costs.
Government used to be the driving engine for innovation. With their cuts to research and science, the Trump administration is putting our progress at risk and driving some of our brightest minds overseas.
This week, Republicans decided we don’t have the time or money to lower the cost of food, gas, housing, and health care, but we have plenty of both to give $70B to ICE and Border Patrol. This is all so screwed up.
Have you noticed that plane travel is even worse now than it was a few years ago? It’s because the Trump admin keeps bowing down to the airlines and rolling back rules that were in place to protect us.
Today, Elon Musk became the world’s first trillionaire.
It's a ridiculous amount of money for one person to be sitting on and comes as countless Americans are struggling to afford food, housing, and health care.   We need to tax wealth – immediately.
I want to talk about the bombshell reporting in the New York Times about the Trump admin’s coverup of the Epstein files. They met in the situation room - not to address a national security issue but to do all they could to ensure Trump and his friends don’t face the accountability they deserve.
Americans have been clear. They want states to be running their elections, and they want guardrails on ICE. Yet again, we have the president and his Republican allies in Congress not listening to the American people.
It’s clear by this point that Trump lives in a golden bubble.
He only watches his favorite cable news shows, his team tells him what he wants to hear, he has more money than he knows what to do with, and he certainly isn’t speaking with everyday Americans.   There's no other explanation for this.

Trump has a new, surprising take on the higher cost of living: ‘I love the inflation’
For decades, @demwomencaucus.bsky.social has participated in a wreath laying at Arlington National Cemetery to honor women veterans. The Trump admin called it a “diversity event” and canceled it this year. Well, we held our own event today. We'll ALWAYS honor women who serve our country.

A political opponent recently posted a deepfake video of me on social media. It was generated using AI and fabricated my voice and image to put words in my mouth. While it represents a new - and dangerous - low, it was not unpredictable. (1/2)
NEWS: Rep. Becca Balint Responds to Deepfake Video Published on Social Media, Calls for Legislative Action

Swipe for Rep. Balint’s statement on the matter and info on the NO FAKES Act, her legislation that would confront this issue head-on.
Rep. Balint Statement on Deepfake Video

“This ad is offensive and a dangerous example of what happens when AI is used to deceive voters. Fabricating my voice and image to put words in my mouth is a new low. Free speech is a cornerstone of our democracy, but impersonation and deception are not. This was also predictable and exactly why I introduced the NO FAKES Act—to give people protections against unauthorized AI replicas of their voice and likeness and bring greater transparency and accountability to AI-generated content.”
The NO FAKES Act

Protects YOUR voice and visual likeness
Addresses the threat of digital replicas created without YOUR consent through AI
Empowers YOU to take action against bad actors who create, distribute, or profit from unauthorized digital replicas
Defends artists, creators, and anyone who uses the internet
