Innocent Jewish Americans have once again experienced a hateful, antisemitic act of violence. I am heartbroken by the indefensible terror. These attacks make no one safer. I stand with Boulder.

Happy, happy Pride to the LGBTQIA+ community in Vermont and beyond! You are seen, you are loved, you are worthy. Spread love and joy! 🌈
I’m a proud member of the bipartisan Mental Health Caucus in Congress. This is a huge crisis affecting every family all over the country, especially for young people.
Remember, facing mental health challenges doesn't make you weak, it makes you human. Asking for help is brave!
Get outside today☀️
Thank you to everyone who came to my town hall last night! Being in Newport reminded me how strong and connected our communities are on both sides of the border. I hear your concerns and I’ll keep fighting to make life better for every Vermonter.

Reminder that cuts to Medicaid don't just impact people on Medicaid. If you live in a rural area, your hospital could close.
If you get your insurance through the Marketplace, rates are going up as a result. Or you could get kicked off. This is going to create severe hardship for a lot of families.
Trump's FTC just gave up on a rock-solid case of illegal price discrimination. He said he would lower the cost of groceries but the FTC just surrendered, handing a gift to PepsiCo, Walmart & other giants. Small, independent businesses will continue to suffer while corporate donors get a pardon.
Adriana Smith's family is living a nightmare. They cannot grieve the loss of Adriana because Georgia's extreme abortion ban is forcing her to stay on ventilators against the family's will. This decision should be made by her family, not Republican politicians in Georgia.
On Memorial Day, we honor the brave Americans who paid the ultimate price to protect our nation. The courage and dedication of our servicemembers in Vermont and across the country demands our highest respect and commitment to the values they fought to defend.
Congratulations Mohsen!🎓 Trump can’t take away your education, your community or your voice.
All of these people are willing to give up any values, morals, or backbone they had because Trump is making them even richer. Beyond corrupt.
Millions of people can't get health care or food assistance but a Republican Congressman can get a tax break for his gun shop. Shame.
Part of the bill that Republicans jammed through includes something you may have missed:
Defunding Planned Parenthood.
There's nothing "pro-life" about defunding breast exams, pregnancy tests, prenatal care, and so much more. Over 1 million women could lose access to care.
Hey, Vermont!
I'm holding a town hall on Wednesday, May 28th in Newport, VT at North Country Union High School at 5:15PM. We'll also live stream on Youtube for those who can't attend in person.
RSVP: balint.house.gov/forms/form/?...
Hope you can make it!
What kind of nation are we when leaders choose to take food away from children?
When they take health care away from people?
When they kick the poor in the teeth while rewarding the richest among us?
The bill Republicans passed in the dead of night is a moral failure.
In their bill, Republicans passed steep cuts to food assistance, Medicaid, and put Medicare at risk. For me, that’s a moral line. It makes no sense in this time of incredible struggle when families are having such a hard time making ends meet to go after food assistance and Medicaid.
2 people were murdered outside the Capital Jewish Museum last night. There's no justification, and murdering innocent people does not make anyone, including Palestinians, safer. I mourn with everyone affected and I pray for the end to antisemitism & hate of all kinds. May their memory be a blessing.
Millions will be kicked off their health care. Hospitals will close. Kids will go hungry because they slashed food assistance. This isn’t fear mongering. These will be the very real consequences of their budget.
Now it goes to the Senate. There’s still time to fight.
Dear Americans,
Republicans in the House just passed the largest transfer of wealth in history to the top 1%. Those of us with the least amount of money will suffer the most.
The latest version of the budget is out with all the side deals and back room promises from Trump over the last few days.
But the cruelty hasn’t changed, Medicaid cuts, increasing taxes for low income, and cutting taxes for the richest is all there.
We’ll be voting overnight.
