Following the killing of another American citizen, Republicans in Congress would rather shut the government down than put guardrails on the administration’s extreme, reckless, and dangerous mass deportation agenda.
It’s deeply irresponsible.

The American people deserve transparency and justice.
Anything less is unacceptable.

And as the administration labels another citizen killed by federal agents as a “terrorist” before any investigation can occur, it’s important that Congress and state officials conduct thorough and independent investigations to ensure accountability for this killing.
Justice must be served.
It is beyond clear that the administration and DHS officials are completely out of control, sowing chaos in our communities and endangering our fellow citizens.
It is past time for Congress to rein them in before more tragedies occur.
My heart breaks for another family that must bear the horrific pain that comes with losing a loved one.
How many more Americans must die at the hands of federal agents before Republicans in Congress will put an end to the administration’s reckless, lawless, and dangerous immigration agenda?
If the administration moves forward with these plans, it would be akin to a death sentence for many of these individuals.
It would be morally reprehensible and should be stopped immediately.
Exclusive: ICE plans to deport 40 Iranians days after mass killings of thousands of protesters in Iran. Two of the deportees are gay & terrified of returning to a country where homosexuality is punishable by death, their lawyer says. w/

The top 1% now hold nearly as much wealth as the bottom 90% of Americans.
But instead of ensuring the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share, Republicans slashed taxes for the rich while gutting nutrition and health care programs that support the most vulnerable.

It's been nearly 2 weeks since @housedemocrats.bsky.social successfully passed an extension of ACA tax credits in the House of Representatives to help lower health care costs for hardworking families.
Senate Republicans should stop blocking this legislation & provide relief to the American people.
While the administration claims to be focused on the worst of the worst, we continue to see these extraordinarily disturbing reports about the actions of ICE.
The lack of humanity is shocking, even if it is not surprising.
America must be better than this.
Tonight, I voted against the Department of Homeland Security funding bill that provides additional funding to ICE with no meaningful reforms to protect the safety and civil liberties of American citizens.

Every day, it becomes clearer that the administration is disregarding the rule of law & undermining the constitutional rights that were created to protect Americans from a tyrannical government.
I refuse to provide additional funding to this lawless agency until comprehensive reforms are enacted.
Every administration, regardless of party, has an obligation to respond to the concerns of communities nationwide.
That’s why I’ve introduced a bipartisan bill with Rep. Lawler to ensure the Secretary of HUD testifies before Congress annually.
I hope Secretary Turner will help us make it law.
As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, I’m thrilled that Kansas City and the National WWI Museum and Memorial have been selected to display some of our founding documents later this spring.

The administration’s extreme mass deportation agenda is increasingly out of control, as they continue to sow chaos and undermine the civil liberties of legal residents and American citizens.
Congress has the power to stop this—but Republicans must stand up.
Federal immigration agents forced open a door and detained a U.S. citizen in his Minnesota home at gunpoint without a warrant, then led him out onto the streets in his underwear in subfreezing conditions, according to his family and videos reviewed by the AP. https://to.pbs.org/4qxlxAh
“For every federal job that’s gone, about one-and-a-half jobs could be lost from other economic sectors.”
The president’s assault on federal workers is not only harming critical services, but it also threatens to undermine local economies as well.

Families in Missouri saw their overall costs increase by more than $1,400 last year due to the president’s tariff taxes and regressive economic policies.
I’ll keep fighting to lower costs by extending ACA tax credits and opposing reckless tariffs.
In the US, a family should be able to drive home from a youth basketball game without having their six-month-old hospitalized because ICE assaulted their vehicle with tear gas & stun grenades.
If Republicans were willing, Congress could put an end to these horrors.

“foreign exporters absorbed only about 4% of the burden of last year’s U.S. tariff increases by lowering their prices, while American consumers and importers absorbed 96%.”
The president said he would lower costs.
Instead, he's driving up prices on American consumers and small businesses.
By analyzing $4 trillion of shipments between January 2024 and November 2025, researchers found that foreign exporters absorbed only about 4% of the burden of last year’s U.S. tariff increases by lowering their prices, while American consumers and importers absorbed 96%.

It is extraordinarily disturbing that Elon Musk and X are allowing users to post non-consensual sexualized AI images on their platform.
It is beyond disgraceful—it’s dangerous.
If they will not take action to stop it, then Congress must.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
