Not only are the president’s tariff taxes raising costs on everyday essentials for hardworking families, but they continue to crush American manufacturers and small businesses. Republicans in Congress must work with Democrats to put an end to this reckless experiment.
Fox: We're still in a manufacturing recession. 85% of the sector's GDP contracted in December. And if you read the commentary, it's costs. They blame tariffs. All of the businesses that are quoted say that those are huge headwinds, and it's still impacting their business
Republican refusal to extend ACA tax credits that help working-class families afford health care is already crushing hardworking Americans across the country. I won’t stop fighting to extend these tax credits, lower costs, and #ProtectOurCare www.kshb.com/news/local-n...
Today marks the fifth anniversary of the violent assault on the U.S. Capitol Building and our constitutional Republic, incited by the President of the United States in his despicable attempt to remain in power after knowingly losing a free and fair election. My full statement:
Attacking a veteran, who spent decades serving our country, just because he spoke out against the administration is beyond shameful. The Defense Secretary should focus on growing threats around the world, not petty politics and wrongful retribution.
Breaking news: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Pentagon will formally censure Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Arizona) and launch administrative proceedings against him to consider whether to reduce his Navy rank.
To end 2025, Congress voted on a war powers resolution to prevent the president from using military action against Venezuela, risking another regime-change quagmire. Unfortunately, 99% of Republicans voted to kill the effort. Congress cannot allow him to drag us into more unnecessary conflicts.
Trump in a single gaggle on Air Force One just threatened: -- a second strike against Venezuela -- Cuba -- Mexico -- Colombia -- Iran -- Greenland (which in turn would be an attack on the EU and Denmark)
The president’s reckless decision to put our servicemembers in harm’s way by attacking a sovereign nation without a coherent rationale or approval from Congress is unconstitutional, destabilizing to the region, and deeply damaging to America’s reputation around the world.
The American people are sick and tired of the president’s reckless economic policies and refusal to provide relief to working-class families. Democrats won’t stop fighting to address the Republican health care crisis and lower costs for hardworking families.
Americans give President Donald Trump his worst approval ratings ever for his handling of the economy, as they also express concerns about the cost of living, healthcare prices, and personal finances, according to the latest PBS News/NPR/Marist poll. https://to.pbs.org/49g3nwx
Despite a bipartisan majority in the House that supports an extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits, Republicans in Congress have allowed these benefits to expire, driving up health care costs on more than 20 million Americans. Democrats will keep fighting to provide relief.
ACA enhanced tax credits have officially expired, meaning higher costs kick in this month for ~22 million Americans. House is likely to pass a 3-year extension… but Senate Republicans told me before the holidays that bill will die in the Senate. www.nbcnews.com/politics/con...
And one my highest priorities is always bringing federal funding back home to support local projects. Whether it’s grant funding to support affordable housing developments or strengthen local health centers, I’ll always fight to ensure western Missouri receives its fair share!
Constituent services are an essential component of my work as your Representative. From helping Missourians receive their full tax refund to assisting veterans in obtaining the benefits they have earned, my office is always available and happy to help!
As families struggle to keep up with the cost of housing, I’ve been working to enact bipartisan reforms that will lower costs for Americans nationwide. I’m proud that 6 of my housing bills were recently passed out of committee and will receive a vote in the House. cleaver.house.gov/media-center...
Whether it was advancing bipartisan legislation to lower housing costs, bringing federal funding back to Missouri for local projects, or assisting Missouri families with federal agencies, I’m proud of what my office and I have accomplished for #MO05 Follow along for my 2025 Recap!
Billionaires like Elon Musk may be richer than ever, but the president’s reckless and regressive economic policies are crushing working-class families and small businesses across the country. Americans deserve better.
CNBC on new consumer sentiment numbers: "50.4 is a new all time low ... my database going back into the 1970s."
A bipartisan majority of the House of Representatives supports an extension of ACA tax credits to prevent health care premiums from skyrocketing Instead of providing relief to American families, the Speaker sent lawmakers home to block the legislation from getting a vote www.cnn.com/2025/12/19/p...
