While colleges should provide rigorous curriculums that guarantee students will receive the best education & experience possible, we must also ensure students are not being exploited. With numerous allegations of abuse at veterinary schools, I’m demanding answers. cleaver.house.gov/media-center...
The Trump family has made billions of dollars in the past year by selling access to the White House. But hardworking American families should be forced to ration food and withhold toys from their children this holiday season because of his failed policies.
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."
Americans are struggling to stay afloat because of the president’s reckless tariff taxes and regressive economic policies. Instead of cutting taxes for billionaires, Congress should be focused on extending ACA tax credits and providing relief to hardworking families.
NY FED: Percentage of households who think their financial situation will be better off over the next year: Matches a two-year low. @nicktimiraos.bsky.social www.newyorkfed.org/microeconomi...
As Missouri families struggle to keep up with the rising costs of groceries, housing, and health care, the president gave himself an “A-plus-plus-plus-plus-plus” on the economy. Completely out of touch with the needs of working-class Americans.
POLITICO: I wonder what grade you'd give the economy TRUMP: A+ POLITICO: A+? TRUMP: A+++++
Millions of Americans will lose their health care if ACA tax credits are not extended. Every @housedemocrats.bsky.social has signed a discharge petition to prevent that from happening—and we won’t stop fighting to protect the health care of working-class families. abcnews.go.com/Health/1-4-a...
We’re 23 days away from ACA tax credits expiring—which will send health care premiums skyrocketing. @housedemocrats.bsky.social have a plan to provide relief to working-class families. We need a handful of Republicans to help us lower costs for millions of Americans. www.notus.org/congress/aca...
Every single House Democrat has signed a discharge petition to extend ACA tax credits that will prevent a spike in health care premiums for tens of millions of Americans. All we need is a handful of Republicans to join us and help save health care for working-class families.
Affordable Care Act subsidies that help millions of Americans pay for health insurance will expire in less than a month. Households will probably face spiking insurance costs next year if a bipartisan deal can’t be reached.
The Trump administration is making it more difficult for families to get essential vaccines that are proven to keep their babies safe. This decision goes against decades of evidence-backed data and will make America less healthy. It’s shameful.
Breaking News: A federal vaccine committee voted to end the decades-long recommendation that all newborns be immunized at birth against hepatitis B, a highly infectious virus that leads to chronic liver disease in most infected children.
With Americans demanding action to lower housing costs, Congress has an opportunity to pass bipartisan, comprehensive housing legislation like my HOME Reform Act to ensure every family has access to affordable housing. I’ll keep fighting until we get the job done. cleaver.house.gov/media-center...
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak with members of the National Housing Conference about the work I’m doing with Rep. Flood and @ushousefsc.bsky.social to cut through red tape, expand the supply of affordable housing, and lower housing costs for hardworking families.
Affordability may not feel real to a billionaire president—but it’s everything to working-class families trying to stay afloat financially. Unfortunately, the president is completely out of touch and does not care about the concerns of the American people.
Q: You talk about affordability. Are the American people getting impatient with the reforms you're making? TRUMP: I think they're getting fake news from guys like you. Look, affordability is a hoax that was started by Democrats.
