March is Women’s History Month, a time to honor the contributions of women and celebrate the bold, groundbreaking achievements of American women in every field. As we honor the bravery of the trailblazing women who came before us, let us continue the ongoing fight for gender equality.
It’s become abundantly clear that the Trump Administration is seeking to throw Ukraine to the Russian wolves. It is incumbent on Congress to exert its independent powers to continue support for our democratic friends who are resisting Putin’s despicable invasion.
This is the most embarrassing and shameful moment I’ve ever witnessed from the Oval Office. American leadership publicly siding with a Dictator in Vladimir Putin and berating a democratic friend in Ukraine will not be forgotten by any nation around the world.
ZELENSKYY: Putin broke the ceasefire. What kind of diplomacy, JD, are you speaking about? VANCE: I think it's disrespectful to come into the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media
President Trump, co-president Musk, and their benefactor billionaires from Wall Street are working to gut Social Security so they can give themselves trillions in tax cuts. Stealing from the working class to further enrich the unfathomably wealthy. It’s reverse Robin Hood on steroids.
BREAKING: Social Security Administration employees receive an email announcing "significant workforce reductions" and encouraging retirements and resignations. Previously sources have stated that cuts could hit 50% of the workforce prospect.org/health/2025-...
President Trump’s gag order on public health agencies is harming efforts to contain the bird flu outbreak, which is putting public health at risk & driving up egg prices. I joined @delauro.house.gov & 83 other House Democrats to demand the gag order be lifted & inter-agency collaboration restored.
Work requirements don’t get people back to work, they just create another layer of bureaucracy to kick people off the rolls. The GOP is just afraid to admit they're trying to rip healthcare away from working class Americans to fund tax cuts for their billionaire donors.
Moments after vowing no cuts to Medicaid, Mike Johnson says he supports work requirements for Medicaid
I'm proud to stand with @sylviagarcia.house.gov in supporting the American Dream and Promise Act. Dreamers strengthen our communities, fuel our economy, and deserve a pathway to citizenship. Their future is our future. #HomeIsHere
If President Trump and co-President Musk move forward with this, it will mean more delays, disruptions, and denial of benefits for Americans trying to access Social Security. It’s a backdoor cut to a program that is overwhelmingly supported by the American public. www.newsweek.com/social-secur...
Farmers are already facing difficult economic situations amid rising input costs. Now they are also dealing with canceled grants & contracts, which are hindering their ability to stay afloat. That’s why I sent a letter to USDA to resume funding & reinstate staff. cleaver.house.gov/media-center...
Many Missouri families are struggling with America’s housing affordability crisis. Yet, the Trump Administration is enacting draconian cuts at HUD which will only exacerbate our challenge to expand access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
135,000 Missourians in #MO05 rely on programs like CHIP and Medicaid to obtain healthcare. As Republicans in Congress push for up to $880 BILLION in cuts to these programs, I hope that just a handful will stand with Democrats to #ProtectOurCare www.americanprogress.org/article/the-...
Led by lawmakers who have lived in public housing, we want the #CongressionalPublicHousingCaucus to be a resource that provides expertise and lived experience to lawmakers on Capitol Hill, ensuring that Congress continues to provide safe and stable shelter for millions of our fellow Americans.
As President Trump and Republicans work to slash federal investments in affordable housing, I launched the #CongressionalPublicHousingCaucus with @repgregorymeeks.bsky.social , @lynch.house.gov and @repritchie.bsky.social to #ProtectPublicHousing!
As long as Elon Musk & President Trump continue to harass hardworking civil servants, I will push back against the chaotic effort to purge America’s federal workforce. Enough is enough. Let these public officials do their jobs on behalf of the American people! www.kctv5.com/2025/02/24/c...
Today, House Republicans plan to vote on one of the largest redistributions of wealth in American history, providing trillions in tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans, paid for by cuts to programs that working class families depend upon. I’ll be voting no. www.cbsnews.com/news/budget-...
