“The worst of the worst” was always a lie. The data is clear: undocumented immigrants are less likely to commit violent crimes. But ICE isn’t following the facts. They're following Stephen Miller’s orders, targeting people who are here working and raising families — so long as they are not white.
The GOP shut down DHS to force billions more for ICE and mass deportations. Now TSA lines are out the door & workers are going without pay while key agencies are stuck in limbo. I’ve co-sponsored a bill to reopen them WITHOUT funding ICE. I'll sign the discharge petition to force a vote this week.
Billions of taxpayer dollars are already being spent on Trump's war in Iran. Now reports show Hegseth blew through another $93B—$3.5B on cable TV, $225M for furniture, and millions on steak, lobster, and crab. Imagine what $93 BILLION could do for our country—housing, education, Medicare for All.
New Pentagon budget reports show Pete Hegseth spent $93 billion in one month, making it the highest monthly expense since 2008. This budget report included spending $2 million on Alaskan King Crab.
Check out this video, "country joe and the fish vietnam song" Country Joe died Saturday at 84. His 60's Vietnam song appropriate for today. Bonespurs got out of danger but puts others in harms way
Trump and Republicans are raising health care costs on YOU AND YOUR FAMILY so that they can hand out tax breaks to millionaires, billionaires, and giant corporations. The greed has reached an all-time high. It cannot go on. We need Medicare for All. That's what I'm fighting for.
Proud to earn a 93% on the @aclu.org's 2025 Legislative Scorecard, which tracked key votes last year to defend civil rights, civil liberties, and free speech while Trump and the GOP are trying to roll them back and silence any opposition. I will never stop voting to protect your rights.
The American people did not vote for a Middle East war. But that's where Trump's push for regime change in Iran is headed—towards another FOREVER WAR, without seeking Congressional authorization. The Constitution is clear: only Congress can declare war. Tonight I voted to reassert that authority.
A Memphis pastor told me ICE is taking Afghan Christians from his congregation—people here LEGALLY, who committed NO violent crimes and even helped our troops as interpreters. "The worst of the worst" was always a lie. Kristi Noem was fired, but she’s not off the hook. She MUST be investigated.
Kristi Noem's complete and total humiliation this week will not save her from the investigations coming down the pike. She oversaw the MURDER of two American citizens, and she led the smear campaign against them. Have to wonder if she gave Trump the same sad look an innocent puppy once gave her.
Kristi Noem LIED about going after "the worst of the worst". Instead, in Memphis and nationwide, the VAST majority of people ICE is targeting have NO felony criminal record. That's according to the DOJ's own data. I won't stop fighting to abolish ICE and impeach Kristi Noem for this lawlessness.
@algreen.house.gov had the courage to speak out last night about Trump’s racist post targeting our first Black President and First Lady. Proud he’s a co-sponsor of my resolution to censure Trump. Trump's despicable racism stands out as one of his most disgusting abuses of the presidency.
Rep. Al Green was holding a sign that reads "Black People Aren't Apes" at the #SOTU:
Rep. Al Green was holding a sign that reads "Black People Aren't Apes" at the State of the Union:
Trump is addressing Congress tonight with lies on top of lies—pretending inflation is solved, affordability isn’t a problem, and America is “better off.” I’m not sitting through that. I’m outside at the People’s State of the Union—talking with people who actually feel the pain of Trump's policies.
The grift, the killings, the mass deportations—Trump knows it's OVER when Dems take the House. So tonight you’ll hear a mad king rage to his sycophants, telling lie after lie to justify the chaos and cruelty. I think I'll pass. Instead I'll be w/@moveon.org & @meidastouch.com at the People's SOTU.
“Judge" Cannon is a disgraceful hack campaigning to be a Trump Supreme Court Justice. What must be in Jack Smith's report that caused Trump's private counsel to intervene against his own Justice Department to forever block its release? SHAME ON THE HOUSE OF TRUMP
NEW: Cannon accused Smith of "brazen" defiance by continuing to compile the classified documents report even after she ruled his appointment unconstitutional. It will remain secret unless an appeals court overturns the decision. w/ @joshgerstein www.politico.com/news/2026/02...
