On this anniversary, I joined @CAPAC in introducing a resolution recognizing their lives and our continued fight for our communities. We must recommit ourselves to standing with AANHPI communities, rejecting xenophobia, and building a country where no one lives in fear because of who they are.
Irvin Cruz-Nape was wrongfully admitted to Adelanto because ICE mistook him for someone else. He had chest pains while in detention but ICE refused to treat him. He was finally released but it was too late: he died days later.
Antisemitism has no place in America. Everyone deserves the right to practice their faith safely & without fear. We must stand together to condemn this act of antisemitic violence and reject antisemitism wherever it appears.
I am horrified by the antisemitic attack at Temple Israel in Michigan. My heart is with the victims, their families, and the entire Jewish community.
Let's be clear: banning mifepristone = a national abortion ban. Mifepristone has been safe, effective and FDA-approved for 20 years. Extremists won’t stop until abortion is banned everywhere. I'll keep fighting to pass my Women’s Health Protection Act to restore the right to abortion nationwide.
6 days in and Trump’s war in Iran has already cost American taxpayers $11.3 BILLION. Republicans said we couldn't afford to extend the ACA tax credits for 22 million Americans. Apparently there’s endless money for a war that no one asked for, but nothing to help people afford health insurance.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Pentagon tells Congress the first week of the Iran war cost the US $11.3 billion, an AP source says.
Republicans called us "unhinged," but we were right to sound the alarm. The sensitive information of millions of Americans remains at risk.

A former DOGE employee has been accused of illegally copying sensitive Social Security data onto an unsecured thumb drive for personal use.

I was thrilled to host my 7th Annual Congressional App Challenge and celebrate the creativity, talent, and innovation of students in our district. Thank you to Congressional App Challenge for helping inspire the next generation of coders and problem solvers. #Congress4CS #HouseOfCode
Stories like hers are why I’m demanding accountability inside ICE detention centers—even when officials try to block congressional oversight—and why I’ve fought for 10+ years to shut down the Adelanto ICE Processing Center. Proud to join @senatorsrp.bsky.social in fighting back against these abuses.
Masuma Khan has lived in Altadena for nearly 30 years. Last year, despite having no criminal history, she was detained by ICE and denied the medication she needed to breathe. Her family contacted my office, and we successfully advocated for her release.
