Our understanding of the Universe is stronger because of Bill Nye’s remarkable leadership and advocacy. Thank you, Bill, for your 15 years leading the Planetary Society, and I look forward to continuing to work with you to advance science and space exploration!🚀✨ pasadenanow.com/main/bill-ny...
Renee Good & Alex Pretti were killed by their own government for exercising their 1st Amendment rights. Trump, Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, & this entire admin are to blame. They'll keep lying to cover up these killings, but we know the truth. We won't let this stand.
Americans who lost everything to wildfires & extreme weather have waited more than a year for federal disaster aid. Instead of helping them, Trump issued an EO that does NOTHING to speed up recovery or make rebuilding more affordable. Enough distractions. Pass disaster aid now.
Last night, my colleague @repilhan.bsky.social was attacked for doing her job as she spoke with her constituents. I’m relieved to hear that she is okay. Political violence has NO place in our country.
A man who confronted Rep. Ilhan Omar at a Minneapolis town hall Tuesday tried to spray her with a substance has been arrested and placed in police custody.
We must never forget this horrific chapter in history. Let us recommit ourselves to fighting antisemitism, hatred, and bigotry so such atrocities can never happen again.
On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the memory of the six million Jews and countless others who were murdered in the Holocaust.
ICE agents executed Alex Pretti while he was defenseless. The American people saw it with their own eyes. It’s on video. Kristi Noem is blatantly lying to cover up this murder while disgustingly smearing the victim. Impeach Noem. Reject ICE funding until this brutality ends.
Well, that decision aged poorly, because we have now learned DOGE used that data to try to overturn election results. It's unacceptable. My colleagues and I on @WaysMeansCmte will keep demanding answers.
About 1 year ago, @repgwenmoore.bsky.social and I demanded answers on DOGE’s unfettered access to Americans’ personal data. Republicans instead shielded Musk from having to answer questions before Congress.
Another person in Minnesota shot dead by Trump’s ICE agents. What more do Republicans in Congress need to see to finally put a stop to this? Senators must vote against sending even more money, with no guardrails, to this out of control agency next week.
Another person in Minnesota shot dead by Trump’s ICE agents. The President is using militarized, untrained, unaccountable forces to terrorize Americans. What more do Republicans in Congress need to see to finally put a stop to this?
This policy already denies nearly 50 million women and girls access to contraception each year. Trump would rather cut off food, medicine, and lifesaving care during war and famine than allow doctors to provide legal health care or information. This will cost lives.
Now, Trump is expanding this rule to apply to nearly all non-military foreign aid—weaponizing humanitarian assistance and dismantling decades of bipartisan global health progress.
Trump is weaponizing foreign aid to impose his anti-abortion, anti-equality agenda on the world. The Global Gag Rule blocks foreign orgs that receive U.S. funds from providing or referring abortion care in their countries—even when it’s legal & paid for with non-U.S. funds.
That is why I’m proud to join @meng.house.gov, @repdangoldman.bsky.social, & @vargas.house.gov in introducing the Language Access for All Act to ensure no one is denied assistance simply because English is not their first language.
