For over a century, the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center has been a beloved community institution and safe haven for our Jewish neighbors and loved ones.

I am horrified by the vandalism of the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center, especially coming just days after we marked the one-year anniversary of the Eaton Fire that tragically destroyed its entire campus. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/12/u...
This is an egregious abuse of power. Americans have the right to protest without fear of retaliation or worse. Trump's violence must stop now.
Under Trump's watch, a DHS agent shot a protestor in the face with a non-lethal round at close range, fractured his skull, and then dragged him around as he choked and bled. He is now permanently blind in his left eye.
Trump just declared that the lives of millions of Americans are expendable as long as corporations make more profits.
This administration has never cared about public health. This new rule will destroy community health and increase health care costs for everyone.
I stand in solidarity with the millions of Iranians demonstrating for freedom, democracy, and human rights, and I am horrified by the regime's use of violence as they desperately try to silence dissent.
I am in awe of the bravery of the Iranian people, who are standing up for their freedom against a brutal regime and decades of authoritarian, theocratic rule.
As a result, Renee Good is dead, and 2025 marked the deadliest year among ICE detainees in more than 2 decades. Enough is enough.
I am proud to stand with our community as we fight to protect immigrants, uphold due process, & fight back against the Trump administration together.
This Saturday, I joined hundreds of my constituents in Pasadena to take a stand against ICE's illegal killing of Renee Good.
Trump has weaponized ICE to wreak havoc in our communities & detain innocent civilians without due process.

One year after some of the deadliest and most destructive wildfires in state history tore through Los Angeles, families are still reeling, businesses are still recovering, and communities are still rebuilding—yet the Trump admin continues to withhold critical disaster relief and deny climate change.
President Trump: leave California families out of your petty political attacks and reinstate this funding immediately.
The Trump administration must restore $10 billion in child care funding for California & other Democratic states that they illegally froze w/o justification. Trump's reckless decision puts families, child care providers, and, most importantly, children at risk in order to advance a political agenda.
Trump and Republicans let ACA tax credits expire, raising premiums for 22 million Americans, some are seeing their costs double or triple after giving massive tax breaks to billionaires.
House Democrats forced a vote to reverse these cuts and extend affordable coverage. I’m voting YES.
Gun violence is deeply personal to me. Three years ago, my hometown lost 11 neighbors to a mass shooting. I will never stop fighting to end gun violence in America, and I’m honored to stand alongside her in this work.
Today marks 15 years since Gabby Giffords was shot at a constituent meeting, in an attack that killed 6 and wounded 13.
I am proud to cosponsor a bipartisan, bicameral resolution to honor the victims and their families today, and recommit to ending gun and political violence.
It's been an honor to serve alongside @hoyer.house.gov and see firsthand his commitment to bipartisanship & delivering real results for the American people. His leadership leaves a legacy that will be felt for generations. Wishing him the best on a well-earned retirement.
On the anniversary of the Eaton Fire, I led members of the California delegation in a press conference at the U.S. Capitol to honor the lives we lost and demand immediate federal disaster aid to support our long-term recovery. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXYV...
This horrific tragedy is a direct result of Trump's reckless, political deployment of federal agents into our communities and his complete disregard for the rule of law.
I am outraged by the horrific killing of a legal observer perpetrated by Donald Trump's ICE agents in South Minneapolis. Video footage shows clearly that this killing was unjustified. I demand a full investigation and this agent must be held accountable. www.npr.org/2026/01/07/n...
Through unimaginable loss, I have witnessed extraordinary resilience in our communities every day since. I will keep fighting, and stand with you every step of the way.
