Had a fantastic time at the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County South County Share House ribbon cutting! Proud to help secure $1.5M in community project funding to make this project a reality. This is a huge step in expanding food access for our community! 📸 Callahan Morgan at IV Streets Photography
Mr. President, you ran on lowering the cost of—everything—your entire campaign & now we have to “shut up” and “learn to love” you barreling us into a recession? Egg prices through the roof, Americans losing their jobs, trade wars with our closest allies...not much to love. nymag.com/intelligence...
The issues are clear: Trump and Musk's unchecked power, and the Republican budget cuts that will harm Veterans, families, seniors, and children alike. I will not stop fighting to protect the Central Coast and our values.
On the Central Coast, over 230,000 people rely on Medicaid and now are at risk of losing their health care because of the harmful Republican budget. This includes: 🚫 98,975 children 🚫 24,000 seniors Taking from those in need to give handouts to billionaires.
Rep. Lowey was a champion for New Yorkers & all Americans. As the first woman to chair the House Appropriations Committee, she broke barriers paving the way for future leaders—her commitment to public service will continue to inspire generations for years to come. Rest in peace, Congresswoman.
Our family is saddened—we recently lost our treasured and beloved cat Peeps. He enriched our lives with his presence and of course his antics. Peeps, you will be greatly missed. 🐾
Donald Trump and Elon Musk's mass layoffs at NOAA threatens communities on the Central Coast and across the nation — that's why my Democratic colleagues and I are demanding Secretary Lutnick address the devastating impact of these harmful cuts.
On the Central Coast, we know firsthand the destruction these fires can cause, and it was an honor to speak with the brave individuals on the front lines about how we can better support them and ensure they have the resources they need.
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are putting our veterans at risk. Recently, I met with CalVet Secretary and Undersecretary to discuss how their actions are undermining vital services for our veterans. Here in Washington, I’m fighting to protect and support our veterans on the Central Coast.
Instead of working toward a bipartisan budget, Republicans are giving a blank check to Donald Trump and Elon Musk, allowing them to continue dismantling the programs that everyday Americans rely on. I remain strongly opposed.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social stand united against the partisan Republican spending bill that puts vital programs for working families at risk and slashes funding for veterans health care.
