I recently visited HealthCare Associates Credit Union in Lisle to discuss the issues impacting credit unions and the communities they serve. I appreciated the thoughtful conversation about strengthening consumer protections, preventing fraud and ensuring families have the financial tools.
Illinois is the birthplace of the Special Olympics, and this week I had the chance to cheer on incredible athletes at the Special Olympics Illinois Tennis Skills Competition in Tinley Park. Their hard work, determination, and talent were inspiring to see!
Earlier this week, I visited downtown Lombard with Village President Anthony Puccio and the Lombard Chamber of Commerce to meet with local business owners, including Soapy Roads and Babcock's Grove House. I enjoyed checking out both businesses and hearing ideas to keep Lombard thriving.
Parks bring communities together, create opportunities for recreation, and improve quality of life. It was great to visit the Lombard Park District's Madison Meadow Athletic Center to learn more about the programs and initiatives that serve families across our community.
TONIGHT: I'll be hosting a telephone town hall for constituents to discuss what's happening in Congress, share updates on my work, and answer your questions. I hope you'll join me!
Interested in a career in public service? Applications for Fall 2026 internships in my Washington, DC and Illinois district offices are now open and will be accepted on a rolling basis. Students with ties to Illinois' 6th District and strong interest in public service are encouraged to apply.
I had the opportunity to visit The Center in Palos Park to learn more about the incredible work they're doing to help individuals on their recovery journey. I'm grateful for the dedicated staff and volunteers who make this life-changing work possible.
Trump's combined tax and tariff policies have cost many middle-class workers hundreds of dollars, including losses of more than $850 for security guards, home health aides, and nursing assistants.
250 years of independence. 250 years of confronting our nation's greatest challenges. 250 years of shaping the American story. This Independence Day, we reflect on how far we've come while looking ahead to continue protecting the rights and liberties of everyone who calls this nation home.
Join me next Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. to discuss what's happening in Congress, hear about the issues that matter most to you, and get your questions answered.
American families shouldn’t have to choose between filling up the tank, keeping the lights on, or making ends meet. That’s why I introduced the Energy Bills Relief Act, to put consumers first, lower energy cost, and make affordable energy the priority.
This Congress, I’ve introduced legislation to make our communities safer and improve access to healthcare. From combating illegal gun trafficking to expanding access to menstrual products and modernizing aviation medical policies, these are practical real world solutions that put people first.
This weekend, Americans will spend 13% more on staples for Independence Day celebrations thanks to our president’s tariffs making everyday expenses increasingly pricey for the average American.
The SAVE Act is a voter disenfranchisement bill. House Republicans continue to prioritize legislation that would make it harder for millions of Americans to vote instead of addressing issues families actually care about, like lowering cost, protecting healthcare, and strengthening the economy.
