The DuPage Children’s Museum has made learning more accessible for families across DuPage County for over 30 years. I visited the museum to meet with their leadership and discuss IMLS funding, local community partnerships, and keeping museums affordable for families.
Today, I convened a roundtable with the Northern Illinois Food Bank and local food pantries and community organizations. As the cost of necessities like groceries continues to rise, food pantries and community organizations become a lifeline for children, seniors, veterans, and families.
Today, I had the honor of attending a naturalization ceremony at the Everett McKinley Dirksen U.S. Courthouse and welcoming new citizens to our country. Our newest citizens bring new experiences and contributions to our country, and I’m proud to officially welcome them to the American family.
The actions of the Trump Administration have made the cost of living and energy costs skyrocket. That’s why Congressman Mike Levin and I introduced the Energy Bills Relief Act, legislation to make energy cleaner, more reliable, and more affordable for families.
The CFPB announced that it will stop publishing consumers’ requests for help and their stories about potential scams, discrimination, and mistreatment. Trump’s CFPB continues to defy its statutory mission to protect consumers and to hold companies that break the law accountable.
If you or someone you know is interested in attending a U.S. Military Service Academy, be sure to submit your application through my office before the deadline. Learn more about the nomination process, eligibility requirements, and application on my website: buff.ly/v4Nje56
The so-called "Trump Accounts" raise serious questions about accountability and consumer protection. Americans deserve confidence that the companies entrusted with their financial future will put customers first, not profits. That's why we need strong oversight and higher standards.
The Equal Voices Act is about making our democracy more accountable to the people it serves. If a government that is more accountable to the American people is scary to you, you need to ask yourself hard questions about who you think our government should serve.
I sat down with senior citizen advocacy groups to hear directly about the challenges they're facing, from rising healthcare costs and threats to Medicare and Medicaid to retirement security and financial scams.
ICYMI: I introduced the Stop Crypto ATM Scams Act because accountability shouldn't stop at a crypto ATM. My bill would put common-sense safeguards in place, crack down on fraud, and help ensure these companies are held accountable.
It was an honor to join the Military Warriors Support Foundation, Wells Fargo, Webb Chevy Oak Lawn, and members of our community to recognize Former U.S. Navy Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handler) (ABH) Miranda Hobson. buff.ly/EyOYcPv
Accountability shouldn't be partisan. It's the foundation of trust in our government, our economy, and the rule of law. When Congress refuses to conduct basic oversight, families pay the price. Government works best when everyone is held accountable. That's what I'll keep fighting to restore.
I joined my STEM Scholars for a behind the scenes visit of the Belt Railway of Chicago in Bedford Park. From freight operations to infrastructure planning, STEM Scholars got a firsthand look at the engineering that keeps our region moving.
Last Friday marked International Beer Day! I’ve enjoyed visiting breweries in IL-06, including Bubblehouse, Phase Three, Skeleton Key, and Maplewood Public House. Breweries are places where people gather, entrepreneurs share their passions, and local economies grow.
I visited Planned Parenthood Illinois' Orland Park Health Center to discuss how attacks on reproductive healthcare are impacting patients across our communities. I'll continue fighting in Congress to protect access to care.
Last week, I joined my 2026 STEM Scholars at Argonne National Laboratory to learn more about the groundbreaking research happening right here in Illinois. From exploring cutting-edge technology to hearing from the scientists driving innovation, experiences like these inspire the next generation.
32,000 people in IL-06 may be forced to pay more for healthcare because Congressional Republicans refused to extend the enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credits. I'll keep fighting to protect affordable healthcare and lower costs for everyone.
