Time and again, I've heard from Americans struggling to afford a place to live. By increasing the housing supply and helping lower costs for families, this legislation represents a critical first step toward tackling our nation's housing affordability crisis. www.cnbc.com/2026/06/23/h...
Data centers place significant strain on our electric grid, making it harder for consumers to access reliable, affordable energy. The Energy Bills Relief Act ensures these large data centers pay their fair share and that consumers have a voice in energy policy decisions.
This summer, my Republican colleagues are focused on making it harder for Americans to participate in elections and advancing an extreme budget reconciliation bill that cuts critical housing and energy protections for working families.
The rot within ICE runs deep. They are set on violating both Constitutional and human rights. Our community has suffered from the agency’s repeated and catastrophic failures. There must be accountability.
Next weekend: You’re invited to celebrate the talented IL-06 artists who submitted entries to this year’s Congressional Art Competition! The Congressional Art Competition Soiree will take place Sunday, June 28th at the Willowbrook Community Resource Center. For more information, visit my website.
As a member of the House Financial Services Committee, I’m working to strengthen consumer protections and promoting long-term economic resilience. This Congress, I've introduced legislation to protect consumers, hold bad actors accountable, and build a stronger financial system for everyone.
Behind every infrastructure project are the skilled workers that keep our economy moving. I recently toured Runnion Equipment in Hodgkins to learn more about the challenges facing equipment dealers and technicians, and to explore different ways we can strengthen career pathways into these fields.
Thank you to the Uber drivers from across IL-06 who joined me for a roundtable discussion on affordability, safety, and transportation challenges affecting the community. Conversations like these help me better understand the issues impacting workers and families across the district.
Public Works Departments manage water systems, infrastructure, and essential community projects. Last week, I visited the Public Works Department in Villa Park. I’m working to secure federal funding for their Twin Lakes Water Improvement Project, which will replace failing water main lines.
Mary contacted my office after struggling to get answers from the IRS about her late mother's tax return. My team worked directly with the agency to resolve the issue and secure her refund within two months. Having trouble with a federal agency? Contact my office, we're ready to help.
Illinoisans have lost devastating sums to crypto-enabled fraud. Last year, the FBI reported $333 million in losses from crypto scams. That’s why I introduced the bipartisan Stop Crypto ATM Scams Act to strengthen consumer protections and prevent fraudsters from exploiting vulnerable Americans.
Last night, I opposed the Republican plan to hand ICE $70B on top of the $140B they approved just last year. This money could have been used to lower health care costs, restore energy tax credits, and fund school lunches. But Republicans think investing in the American people is wasteful.
Speaker Johnson made it clear what Republicans are targeting: Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. At the same time that he’s handing ICE with another $70 billion, Speaker Johnson wants to attack programs that actually help Americans.
Managing a loved one’s affairs after their passing can be difficult. When a Chicago constituent contacted my office for help obtaining a relative’s tax refund, we stepped in to assist. We helped navigate the process and secure the decedent’s final refund and provide the family with closure.
During his campaign, the president promised he would not drive the United States into a war. He said "years of chaos will be over." We are 102 days into his war with Iran. Now, all of a sudden, he claims he never made those promises.
Republicans keep trying to pass a massive ICE bill that misses the mark. It does nothing to lower housing, energy, or healthcare costs. We only have five legislative weeks left before the August recess. I want to vote on bills that help the American people with everyday struggles. They disagree.
You’re invited to stop by the Congressional Art Competition Soiree on Sunday, June 28 from 1-2pm at the Willowbrook Community Resource Center to celebrate the students who participated in the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. The art exhibit is open to the public, and all are welcome.
