Today, I reintroduced the Frack Pack to hold big oil companies accountable for polluting our air and water. No company should get to profit while families get sick from the known health impacts of fracking. This package would finally put people over profits. degette.house.gov/media-center...
After an 8-week taxpayer funded vacation to avoid voting on the Epstein files, House Republicans finally had to face the music. I voted YES because Epstein’s victims deserve justice, and his accomplices must be held accountable for their heinous crimes. The people deserve the truth.
Bill to release the Epstein files passes the House 427 to 1
House Republicans were on vacation for over 7 weeks while health care costs skyrocketed. They refused to even entertain fixing the crisis they created, and are now jamming through a funding bill that does nothing to lower health care costs. I’m not just a no, I’m a HELL NO!
Democrats have a simple solution to lower health care costs: extend the ACA premium support. I just signed a discharge petition to force a vote on that extension. Meanwhile, it seems Republicans are content with letting health care costs spike while they form “concepts” of a plan.
Today, we honor the brave men and women who have served our country in uniform. Our veterans put their lives on the line to defend our freedom and American values abroad. Thank you to all veterans in Denver and across our country for your service. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Fantastic news: the Supreme Court ruled to NOT revisit the landmark Obergefell decision which legalized same-sex marriage. This is a victory for all Americans, as no one should be discriminated against for who they love.
Jessica from Denver lost her $650/month SNAP benefits because of the Republican shutdown, and is now stretching to feed her family of 8. The Trump administration is deliberately choosing not to fund SNAP, and families like Jessica’s are paying the price.
Spent this morning with my staff at the Food Bank of the Rockies Mobile Pantry helping distribute food. Thanks to the Republican-forced shutdown, SNAP benefits have been in limbo as Trump fights tooth and nail against releasing the benefits to those in need. SNAP must be restored immediately.

Since January, we’ve pushed back against Trump through our courts, citizens, & Congress. Courts are blocking his abuses. Last night, citizens showed up. Now, Congress must act. It's time for Congressional Republicans to help us reopen the government and lower health care costs.
It's day 36 of the shutdown—the longest on record. Instead of working with Democrats to reopen the government, Trump is withholding full SNAP benefits from millions of Americans, while House Republicans are on a 6-week vacation. (1/2)
Donald Trump is now openly defying court orders to pay out SNAP benefits. He has made clear that he does not care about the families who rely on SNAP to put food on the table, and children are going hungry because of his cruel, illegal actions. This is shameful.
ICE is snatching families in Colorado off the street and shipping them out of the state. And they are denying Members of Congress our Constitutional responsibility of conducting oversight of their facilities. What are they hiding and why won’t they let us do our jobs?
Trump is leaving participants with only partial benefits for next month. He is more concerned about 'winning' the shutdown than he is about leaving 42 million Americans without food in a matter of days to weeks.
At every step of the way, Trump & his Admin have acted illegally to stop November SNAP benefits from going out. Now, after a judge has ruled the administration does have the legal authority to ensure full SNAP benefits, Trump will only do the bare minimum for hardworking Americans.
Thanks to Congressional Republicans and Donald Trump, health care costs are skyrocketing for families in Colorado. With open enrollment starting today, families are going to get sticker shock from the high price of their premiums. We must extend the ACA tax credits to lower these costs NOW.
Fantastic news: a US judge has blocked the Trump administration from suspending SNAP benefits. The courts continue to show that Trump and his cronies are acting outside of the law, and we will keep fighting against their cruel, illegal efforts.
