[1/2] Trump pardoned Jan. 6 violent insurrectionists, called them heroes, and gave them government jobs. Now those criminals are suing the brave police officers who defended the Capitol.

Every Texan pulling up to a gas pump is paying the Trump War Tax. At the grocery store. At the airport. Even on Amazon, where 3.5% is being added to every purchase. This war isn’t free, it’s costing billions, and you are paying the price.
With another upcoming War Powers vote, it only takes a few Republicans to join Democrats in imposing some restrictions on a man who thinks he’s not only king of America, but king of the universe.
As Trump brought us to the brink of disaster, I spoke with Spectrum News on the urgency of stopping a widening war and the need for a GOP Congress that is more than a doormat.
When you stack an admin with election deniers, you’re dismantling truth and accountability. Trump isn’t just spreading lies. He’s surrounding himself with people who'll amplify them and help him undermine any election result he doesn’t like. For him, it’s never been about truth. It’s about power.
Trump sold his tariff taxes as “free money” from abroad. In reality, they raised costs on American families over $1,700 a year.
Now businesses are in crisis waiting for refunds as Trump drags his feet. Americans should get their rebate.
[2/2] This reckless and costly war, which never should have begun, is far from resolved. While he arrogantly claims to represent countries of the Middle East in negotiations, Trump does not even represent most Americans.
[1/2] Thankfully as we reached the edge of global disaster, Trump just pulled back, though it’s difficult to say how lasting this ceasefire will be.
Trump has already declared victory almost as many times as he has made new threats of death and destruction.
[2/2] By openly threatening the destruction of an entire civilization, Trump isn’t showing strength or leadership. He is violating international law and declaring his intent to commit war crimes. Republicans must act NOW to rein in this disturbed president.
[1/2] Joined KVUE this afternoon to discuss Trump’s alarming threats of war crimes and genocide. After boxing himself in a war he should have never started, Trump’s pronouncements now grow more and more irrational.
[2/2] Reaffirmed in the Defense Department’s Law of War Manual: “Each member of the armed services has a duty to: … (2) refuse to comply with clearly illegal orders to commit violations of the law of war.”
[1/2] If Trump persists with his threats to destroy Iranian civilization, our military leaders must not be complicit. Germans learned at Nuremberg that “I was just following orders” is no defense to unlawful orders.
[2/2] The Congressional remedy is impeachment, which I have voted for at every opportunity. Yet without some GOP support, we cannot approve it. Meanwhile, we must continue demanding that GOP electeds speak up and begin to recognize that this unhinged President is endangering us all.
[1/2] Trump’s deranged behavior indicates he is unfit to serve and should be removed from office. But the 25th Amendment offers little hope. It requires action from the VP and any handpicked minions, who he has not yet fired from his Cabinet.
Even one of the most committed MAGA loyalists in the Senate, Ron Johnson, says Trump would be making a “huge mistake” to “start blowing up civilian infrastructure.”
We need more Republicans speaking out NOW to stop an unhinged Trump.
Where are the calls for restraint from our Texas Senators?
Trump insists that he is ready to do more damage to Iran than Netanyahu has done in Gaza or Putin in Ukraine. Genocide—bombing Iran into "the Stone Ages" is a war crime for which our country will bear responsibility. Once again, many ordinary Americans will pay the price for his unhinged wrongdoing.
Trump committing war crimes by destroying Iranians—bombing them "back to the Stone Ages"--will only lead to the loss of American lives and endanger our families for years to come.
GOP who have empowered him must show restraint immediately!
[2/2] ...his willingness to commit war crimes so that “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” NOW would be the time to make an urgent appeal for restraint.
[1/2] Seldom have I thought that your contacting our Republican elected officials would accomplish anything. Perhaps that remains true today. But if you share the alarm that many of us feel regarding Trump being totally out of control –declaring...
