Reflecting on this week — and this whole Trump term so far. #iykyk
There is light.
May God bless Pope Leo XIV and may he guide us in that light — with grace, unity, and peace.
Today, FBI Director Kash Patel showed up to Congress with little understanding of his own administration's budget proposal, no clear plan on how to properly fund the FBI, and then lashed out when he was called on his lies.
He said he wanted receipts — so here they are.
Happy National Nurses Week!
Nurses — and other healthcare workers — devote their lives to our health and well-being. They deserve to be safe at work.
That’s why I introduced the Save Healthcare Workers Act.
I was moved to see so many federal workers on the Capitol steps.
Dedicated, talented people who want to be of service to our country.
Yet, thousands have been indiscriminately fired by the Trump Admin.
I stand with them.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! 📚
For our earliest learners to undergrads and beyond, PA is an exceptional place to be a student — that’s because of devoted educators.
Thank you to our teachers who shape so many lives with their knowledge, passion, and care.
Bringing back American manufacturing is a worthy goal.
But Trump’s erratic tariffs only hurt American businesses and consumers.
Horrifying and unacceptable.
This was an act of hate and a deliberate attack on our Jewish community and our decency.
We must call it out. We must push our friends, family, and neighbors to reject hatred. We must do better.

May is Jewish American Heritage Month!
This month, we lift up the vibrant culture, history, and tradition of Jewish Americans in Pennsylvania and across our nation.
100 days of chaos, cruelty, and lawlessness.
I call upon all my colleagues, especially those shamefully silent, to join me in putting a stop to this madness — hold President Trump to account.
ALS is a heartbreaking disease.
ALS United is focused on education and research — bringing awareness to the public and better treatment and quality of life to those suffering.
Thank you to their Mid-Atlantic team for stopping by my office and for your important advocacy.
Cuts to food pantries are careless and cruel.
Yet the Trump Administration is doing it — by cutting funds for USDA, farmers and food banks, in PA and every other state, are hurting.
I will not stand for it. Our humanity demands we fight back.
AmeriCorps programs offer significant support for Pennsylvanians — including veterans, first-generation college students, and nearly 10,000 teachers in the Philly region.
Trump's cuts are lawless and cruel.
PA will see the Admin in court.

Today marks a somber milestone for our country — 100 days of chaos, cruelty, and lawlessness under the Trump Administration.
My full statement:
Overdose affects every community, including in Montco.
The Montgomery County Overdose Response Team offers support during such a moment of crisis.
I'm thankful to the first responders for their compassionate, on-the-ground work. They help save lives.
It seems the Trump administration needs a reminder:
It was Putin who started the war in Ukraine.
It was Putin who stole more than 20,000 children from their families and took them to Russia.
And it is Ukraine who is our democratic ally.
It is time for peace, but not appeasement.
TAKE IT DOWN just passed the House!
Next stop: the President's desk.
We must protect victims from having intimate images — both real and AI-generated — shared without consent.
Grateful to work with Rep. Maria Salazar, Senator Amy Klobuchar, and Senator Ted Cruz on this bipartisan law.
These Pennsylvanians were in town to advocate for legal aid funding and productive reforms to our judicial system — issues which I care deeply about.
Thank you for meeting with me and for your work as attorneys for those in need.

Thank you to Katayun, Vikram, Meredith, and Regina with the PA Bar Association and the PA Legal Aid Network for meeting with me in my D.C. office earlier this month!
