Right now, thanks to GOP policies, millions of Americans are struggling to afford the rising cost of their health care. Trump’s latest response- a smoke and mirrors website that does nothing to lower health care costs for most working families.
Yesterday was National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Let us recommit to ending the disparities in HIV and AIDS prevention, education, and treatment facing Black communities across the country.
We can only end this epidemic when we ensure EVERYONE has access to prevention and treatment care.
Donald Trump said he would lower prices on “day one.” But more than a year into his second term, new data shows his reckless economic policies and tariff-taxes have cost Philly families $2,020 — that’s over $168 a month!
Donald Trump is a bigoted, small-minded man who has long spewed racist remarks and tried to whitewash our nation’s history. Today he finds a new low. His recent post is vile, disgusting, and abhorrently racist. Every elected official should speak up and condemn this hate.
Simply put - Donald Trump is not connected to reality. Working people in Philly and beyond are enduring higher costs because of Trump’s tariff-taxes and his letting health-care tax credits for 22 million Americans expire. But his billionaire buddies continue to get by just fine!
The effects of Trump’s #ReverseRobinHood budget are ALREADY rippling through our community. Starting this month, thousands of families in Philly are beginning to lose their critical SNAP food assistance - while the rich are enjoying huge tax breaks from the same law.
It’s been over three weeks since House Democrats forced a winning bipartisan vote to restore ACA tax credits and lower health care costs for 500,000 Pennsylvanians. But thanks to Senate Republicans’ inaction on these credits, health-insurance bills are skyrocketing for millions of Americans.
It is clear DHS must undergo real change and reforms. After over a year of empty promises, I believe we cannot trust promises of reform from this administration. I first need to see much-needed guardrails and protections being put into law- and therefore will be voting no on this funding package.
I stand with the vast majority of Philadelphians against the hate that was on display at a disgusting, antisemitic pro-Hamas rally yesterday at Rittenhouse Square. I stand with both our Jewish and Muslim neighbors for peace and against violence.
Black History is American history. Period. No matter this administration’s continued attempts to whitewash and erase our nation’s history- this month and every month, let us honor our history through our advocacy and actions.
Rather than working to make your life more affordable, President Trump is suing the IRS for $10 BILLION of your taxpayer dollars. That’s enough for a $6,353 check for every Philadelphian, including every child! I and my Democratic colleagues will keep fighting his backwards, corrupt priorities!
