In 2025, on average, American families LOST $1,625 thanks to Trump’s economic policies. Meanwhile, the president made at least $2,200,000,000. That’s more than 1,300,000 TIMES the amount families lost. Trump’s economy is always about serving himself, never the American people.
There is absolutely nothing “beautiful” about parents going hungry so they can feed their kids. About children worrying about where their next meal is coming from. This is why House Democrats will keep fighting to reverse House Republicans’ drastic cuts to SNAP.
The Trump administration’s “big, beautiful bill” slashed spending on food stamps. Now, more than 1 million fewer children receive benefits.
The ratification of the 19th Amendment was a historic step forward in fulfilling the promise of our democracy. But as Republicans' SAVE America Act threatens to block millions of women from voting, this fight for women's suffrage is far from over.
Proud to join @mikethompson.house.gov in demanding the Trump-Vance administration stop their rollback of critical gun safety measures. Their plans will only enable bad actors, make it harder for our law enforcement to solve and prevent crimes, and do nothing to keep our communities safe.
This includes: 🛑Stopping drastic clawbacks of payments 🛠️Reversing any cuts to the Social Security Administration's workforce and budget ⬆️Increasing the cost-of-living adjustment 🗑️ Scrapping the cap to ensure the rich pay their fair share into the system (2/2)
Today, while we celebrate 91 years of the Social Security Act, Trump and congressional Republicans are putting Social Security at risk. As they try to dismantle this EARNED benefit, I’m fighting back alongside fellow Democrats in Congress to protect and strengthen it for generations to come! (1/2)
In 2022, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law — allowing Medicare to negotiate drug costs and leading to many of these price drops today. I proudly joined my Democratic colleagues in Congress to pass this legislation. Every single Republican in Congress voted against it.
#TBT to my conversation earlier this year with my constituent Carolyn. As Trump continues his war of choice and working families are burdened with the rising costs, our conversation still rings true. Trump and congressional Republicans’ priorities are backwards and not putting Americans first.
144,000 Pennsylvanians- including 45,000 Philadelphians- could see their SNAP food benefits cut. Grocery prices just keep rising. And food pantries are already being stretched thin. This is the hunger crisis created by the Trump-Vance administration and congressional Republicans.
This year, families going back-to-school shopping in Philly and beyond are facing painfully high price hikes. Parents shouldn’t have to make budget cuts or take on debt just to stock their kids’ backpacks, but this is the reality of Republican economic failures.
$5.1 million for gold-covered statues. $16 million for an algae-filled reflecting pool. $600 million for a gold-filled ballroom. Families are struggling to keep up with the rising cost of living, but this is what Trump is spending your taxpayer dollars on.
A "golden age" for who? If Donald Trump really wants to look at some polling: ▶️A majority of Americans think his tariff-taxes and war of choice are driving up prices ▶️60% of Americans are either living paycheck to paycheck or struggling to make ends meet
Trump: When I see polls on the economy, I should have 150% approval, not 100%. This is the golden age of America. And I think people are starting to see it
