The GOP Congressman in Michigan’s 10th district is one of many who are refusing to do town hall meetings with voters.
So my friend @maxwellfrost.bsky.social and I are heading there on Saturday to make sure every American has a chance to hear about the Trump and Musk’s corruption.
Last night, I kicked-off a statewide phonebank to Get Out The Vote for our special elections on April 1 for @gayforcongress.bsky.social & @joshweil.bsky.social. Republicans know their billionaire takeover is unpopular & they’re scared that voters are showing up to stop them. Let’s prove them right.
Sometimes when you sellout, you get sold out!
Hey! @chrismurphyct.bsky.social & I are hitting the road to fight the billionaire takeover of our government. This Saturday, we'll be in Warren, MI to give real answers to real people. If your Rep is hiding, let us know—we’ll come to you!
RSVP here to join us in Warren: bit.ly/ThePeoplesTownHallMI
Another disgusting part of all of this is the proof a blatant war crime to which the Vice President of the United States responded: Excellent.
This is classified information.
The President will claim it is not because he’s declassifying it AFTER the fact because his administration is now responsible for one of the greatest national security failures of our time.

Ossoff: This was a huge a mistake
Ratcliffe: No
Ossoff: This is an embarrassment. We will get the full transcript of this chain and your testimony will be measured carefully against its content
As a member of Oversight, I’m sending letters to the identifiable officials in the Hegseth Disaster Signal Chat demanding that they retain all messages for any pending litigation and Congressional investigations.
Any deletion of the chat is a willful destruction of evidence.
The Oversight Committee must immediately call in Hegseth to testify under oath. This huge national security blunder by the Trump Administration has to be investigated.
Then, Hegseth must resign or be fired. In just two months, his incompetence has made our country much less safe.
Central Florida! Join @jamie_raskin & I on April 3rd to launch my Year-Round Organizing campaign.
We must fiercely oppose this billionaire takeover of our country. Organizing is more important than ever. Rally with us & learn how to stay engaged. RSVP here 👇🏾

LISTEN to Maxwell Frost:
"We know that this country doesn't have a healthcare program. It has a sickness care program."
Every Republican needs to be asked every damn day, what is their plan if they cut Medicaid?
They want to burn down the house, w/ millions left inside it!

House Dems stand with our leadership in holding the line for working people.
NO to this Trump/Elon spending bill that aims to make massive cuts to programs that working families have earned in order to give billionaires tax cuts.

A YES on cloture is a YES for the bill.
Do not let anyone play games with you.
I don’t buy the narrative that Trump & President Musk actually WANT a shutdown. If that was the truth, they would’ve put forth an even worse bill that would 100% guarantee zero Dem votes.
What they did was propose a bill that green-lights DOGE & Elon’s billionaire takeover by omitting guardrails.
This is a team sport. Sometimes, everyone agrees on a strategy you have concerns about. I’ve voted with less than 10 people multiple times.
But let’s be clear — there’s nothing heroic or admirable about green-lighting a billionaire takeover of our country. In these moments, our unity is our power.

Bernie Sanders: "If you do nothing, you sit back and say, 'it's gonna be terrible.' And that's right. A shutdown will be terrible. But our job is to put the onus on the Republican president, the Republican House, the Republican Senate, the people who control the govt"
Authoritarians govern through fear, not legislation. The simple fear of what they would do in certain situations can push even the opposition to capitulate. That’s success for them.
We lose when we fold due to a hypothetical. We win when we challenge the REALITY that is hurting working people.
