North Carolinians deserve fair representation, but Republicans are rigging our elections and silencing voters.
I'm joining @adams.house.gov, @foushee.house.gov, and Rep. Don Davis to introduce legislation to ensure our maps are drawn with accountability, fairness, and public input.
I joined my North Carolina Democratic colleagues in introducing the Redistricting Transparency & Accountability Act to ensure public participation in the redistricting process. (2/2)

States like North Carolina have had their maps decided by backroom deals and shady political games for far too long. (1/2)
No one in America should see their healthcare costs rise by $25,000, but that's what families are facing here in North Carolina.
Still, House Republicans won't come to work to find a long-term solution to their health care crisis.
🚨 Calling all NC-04 veterans: Join me on November 10 for a Congressional Veterans Briefing! I’ll be joined by local experts to provide updates on veteran-related issues and to share resources available to veterans and their families.

SNAP funding runs out tomorrow, but Trump refuses to use the funds available to extend this program during the shutdown.
Now, 42 million Americans, including 16 million children, could lose the food assistance they depend on.
This isn't a partisan issue, it's a moral one.
I want to hear from you—if you'd like share how rising health care price increases will impact your family, visit foushee.house.gov/share-your-story-health. (2/2)
In 2026, a family of four in Chapel Hill could face a $4,000 increase to their health care costs compared to 2025.
That's why @housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting to extend the Obamacare tax credits.

Name something spookier than Trump's anti-worker agenda 👻... We'll wait.

Thank you Rep. Foushee @foushee.house.gov for sending a letter to EPA Administrator Zeldin asking him not to revoke the Endangerment Finding, a foundational part of the EPA’s ability to protect us from the health effects of climate change. We appreciate you standing up for our kids.
Trump's refusal to use contingency funds on SNAP is a heartless attack on American families who need assistance the most.
I joined @housedemocrats.bsky.social in calling on the USDA to use these funds in order to maintain SNAP benefits throughout the month of November.
Federal employees keep our country running. Congress must do everything in its power to support them and ensure their needs are met. (2/2)
My staff and I volunteered with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina to distribute food to federal workers at RDU who are losing pay due to the ongoing government shutdown. (1/2)
Our government is shut down, healthcare costs are out of control, and inflation hit 3% for the first time since January.
But destroying the White House to make a ballroom is the 'main priority' for Trump and the GOP.
This week, I joined Jordan High School AP Government students for a discussion on the history and inner workings of Congress.
These students are the future of our nation, and I'll always support efforts to help them achieve their personal and academic goals.

Thank you to @foushee.house.gov and @repdexteror.bsky.social ― among many other Members of Congress ― as well as their staff for taking the time to meet with us, even during these challenging circumstances.
We are 23 days into the shutdown. Still, Republicans refuse to negotiate and now Trump is spending millions on a new ballroom in the White House.
While Republicans serve themselves, Democrats are fighting to reopen the government, extend the ACA tax credits, and lower costs for working families.
North Carolinians are not political pawns. We deserve fair congressional maps that reflect the voices of communities across our state.
Instead, the Republican-controlled NCGA is again subjecting the people of our great state to unfair maps that will disenfranchise voters.

Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating in #NC04! Wishing you a wonderful festival of lights with your friends, family, and loved ones.
The American people are being held hostage. In my state, a 45-year-old making $62,000 will see their average health insurance costs rise by over $1,500.
Families don’t need promises about holding certain votes, they need affordable healthcare.
On @meetthepress.com, Senate Majority Leader Thune digs in on the short-term funding bill, saying negotiations can happen after that at the appropriations level. He likens Democrats to "hostage" takers who are "hijacking" the process to pursue ideological demands. www.nbcnews.com/politics/con...

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
