The CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk, having access to confidential NASA information is a security breach and conflict of interest. As Ranking Member of the Space Subcommittee, I joined Science Committee Ranking Member Lofgren in asking NASA to clearly outline any current and future interactions with DOGE.
I look forward to working alongside my colleagues to strengthen our nation's position as a leader in scientific innovation and ensure safe and reliable infrastructure and transportation access for families across the country. My full statement: foushee.house.gov/media/press-...
I am honored to announce that I will serve on the Energy Subcommittee and as Ranking Member of the Space & Aeronautics Subcommittee in the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology in the 119th Congress. I will also be serving on the Rail and Aviation subcommittees with @transportdems.bsky.social.
GOP attempts to dismantle @usedgov.bsky.social would disrupt support for K-12 schools, students with disabilities, & students from low-income households. I'm proud to support the Department of Education Protection Act to safeguard this agency and ensure students receive the education they deserve.
Elon Musk, the richest man on earth, is stealing your personal financial information through an illegal takeover of the U.S. Treasury.   I'm here at the Treasury Building in D.C. with my @housedemocrats.bsky.social colleagues to demand an end to this unprecedented power grab & privacy breach.
Today, on Rosa Parks' birthday, we honor her historic protest by celebrating #TransitEquityDay. I’m proud to reintroduce my resolution recognizing Transit Equity Day and the importance of ensuring access to safe, reliable, and affordable public transportation. foushee.house.gov/media/press-...
It was great meeting officials with @wakegov.bsky.social to discuss local priorities including housing affordability and support for EMS services. Thank you for the work you all do, and I look forward to continuing our work to uplift Wake County residents in the months and years ahead.
It’s outrageous that an unelected billionaire is taking over our government and is stealing personal information from the American people. With @housedemocrats.bsky.social, I’m pursuing legislation against this invasion of privacy and am calling for hearings to stop the illegal Musk/DOGE takeover.
Captain Lobach was a dedicated officer with a bright future and her service to our country will not be forgotten. I offer my heartfelt condolences to her family and all those affected by this horrible tragedy. (2/2)
The federal funding freeze leaves cutting-edge research initiatives at risk, including National Institutes of Health cancer research programs. I wrote to the President and OMB Acting Director Vaeth urging them to reverse their directives and reinstate this indispensable funding.
Trump's illegal funding freeze is a shocking attempt to steal money from hardworking, everyday Americans. I joined ABC 11 to talk more about this alarming overreach of power which will hurt North Carolinians👇 abc11.com/post/nc-agen...
I was thrilled to celebrate the launch of centralized mail delivery in the Research Triangle Park alongside @ross.house.gov, the Research Triangle Foundation and USPS. RTP is the largest research park in the nation, and mail delivery is essential to ensuring its continued growth for years to come.
#OTD 85 years ago, the first-ever #SocialSecurity check was issued. Today, Republicans are attempting to gut this critical program and slash benefits for 70 million Americans. I will keep fighting back with @housedemocrats.bsky.social to protect and enhance these benefits for all.
Trump's freeze on federal assistance will pause transportation projects, infrastructure spending, and air traffic controller hiring nationwide. I joined @transportdems.bsky.social in asking @usdot.bsky.social how they plan to implement these changes, and the effects it will have on our communities.
These reckless accusations from Trump are an irresponsible attempt to politicize a national tragedy and place blame on DEI efforts. The victims, their families, and the American people deserve real answers and real solutions from this administration to prevent future collisions.
Reporter: I’m trying to figure out how you can come to the conclusion that diversity had something to do with this crash? Trump: Because I have common sense and unfortunately a lot of people don’t
