The Iran war is costing 6x more than what we spend on food assistance for hungry Americans. Trump has decided we can't afford healthcare tax credits for hardworking Americans, but we can spend up to $2 billion a day dropping bombs in the Middle East.
Thanks to the City of Glendale and City of Pasadena, the Glendale, Pasadena, and Burbank Fire Departments, and all of our community partners, fire, police, and EMS heroes for helping to make this happen.
I’m proud to announce I’ve secured a $1 million federal investment to fully upgrade the Verdugo Fire Communications Center. Public safety is one of my top priorities. That’s why I worked hard to lock in this federal investment, which will improve response times for more than 944,000 Angelenos.
In the past 24 hours we've seen violent, antisemitic attacks in San Jose and now Michigan. Jews were beaten for speaking Hebrew. A truck filled with explosives was rammed into a synagogue with children inside. I am praying for the victims and their families.
With gas prices spiking, groceries going up, and domestic programs being gutted to pay for billionaire tax breaks, we are funding a war with no exit plan. I asked the question everyone's thinking:
Back in August, I toured their kitchen while it was still under construction. That's when I witnessed firsthand how Trump’s cuts to federal investments harm the medical patients that Project Angel Food serves through their meals.
#TeamFriedman was honored to celebrate Project Angel Food’s ribbon cutting for their new kitchen and campus right here in CA-30! Now Project Angel Food can serve even more Angelenos in need.
It was a pleasure seeing so many of my constituents at my passport fair on Saturday! I'm proud to say that this fully-booked event helped hundreds of people get their passports quickly. Where should we host the next one?
Until we see real changes — warrants for arrests, no masks, no legal immunity, and ICE out of LA — I'll keep holding this agency & administration's feet to the fire. (2/2)
Kristi Noem is out — but I'm not done holding DHS accountable. I refused to vote for another dime to fund Noem's lawless operations and supported her impeachment because she let her federal agents trample on Americans' constitutional rights with impunity. (1/2)
HAPPENING NOW: My passport fair is today & accepting walk-ins! We’ll be here between 9 AM and 2:30 PM to assist you with renewing or applying for your passport.
Excited to announce that I’m hosting a big Passport Fair on March 7th at Glendale Central Library! Skip the long lines at other passport centers and get an stress-free experience on March 7th from 9 AM to 3 PM. Walk-ins are available, but I highly encourage you to schedule an appointment. (1/2)
I just voted yes on the War Powers Resolution. Listen to my thoughts here. During my briefing, I didn’t receive evidence of any imminent threat to justify this attack. Now six American soldiers are dead with no clear endgame. Our country deserves better than another endless war.
...pass the No Masks for ICE Act, end legal immunity for ICE agents, require warrants for arrests and searches, and bring an end to this agency’s chaos, cruelty and violence.
I called for Kristi Noem's removal. I voted against funding her lawless operations, and supported her impeachment. Today she's out. But the damage she did to Americans — including labeling victims "domestic terrorists" after being killed by her agents — won’t be erased. I'll keep fighting to...
