I’ve been working for years to help Burbank Airport deliver its new, safer passenger terminal, and I’m proud to announce that they’ve received a new $8 million grant to help bring the airport into the 21st Century!   Read more about this exciting new development here:
LA is ready to represent America on the world stage — but we need this Administration to invest in transit to move tourists, athletes, and residents. Looking forward to working together to make it happen.
The murder of 20-year-old American Sayfollah Musallet by Israeli settlers in the West Bank is horrifying and unacceptable. I am praying for his family and loved ones. The U.S. must demand accountability to the full extent of the law and act to protect its citizens.
Crypto is a new horizon, & there’s a lot of bad actors & scammers that are trying to take advantage to scam you. That’s why I introduced an amendment to the GENIUS Act that would prevent foreign & unregulated stablecoin issuers from accessing U.S. markets, & improve anti-money laundering measures.
Stablecoins are a hot topic, but like anything new and flashy, we need to make sure the American people are protected from potential risks. That’s why I’m introducing an amendment to the GENIUS Act that would require stablecoins to meet commonsense standards like other financial products.
Scammers are using Crypto ATMs to target & exploit our seniors to the tune of $1.6 billion in crypto fraud. That’s why I just filed an amendment to the GENIUS Act to implement new anti-fraud policies and empower law enforcement to crack down on scammers.
Trump’s latest move: cut $7 billion in investments for our children’s education and teachers’ development. These investments aren’t optional, they’ve been appropriated by Congress and signed into law. I’ve joined my @HouseDemocrats colleagues to demand that this funding be released immediately.
Have questions about your Medi-Cal or Social Security benefits? Drop by the Edendale Branch Library in Echo Park anytime between 12 – 3pm this Wednesday, July 16th to get help! My staff deal with a wide range of federal issues everyday, and they’re ready to assist you.
The X AI chatbot Grok made blatantly antisemitic comments right after @ElonMusk touted that it had been “improved”. This is unacceptable and incredibly alarming. That’s why I joined my colleagues in demanding accountability from X AI. We must not accept this as the new normal for AI.
The Trump Administration is trying to roll back LGBTQ rights; but communities like West Hollywood keep pushing forward. Honored to join APLA Health for the opening of the new Michael Gottlieb Health Center, expanding care where people need it.
Instead, they’re randomly picking up our neighbors in order to hit an inhumane human quota, while denying them the due process and civil rights protections they’re entitled to by law.
Proud to announce a new $8+ million federal investment for Hollywood Burbank Airport. This is key to easing the burden on local taxpayers while improving safety and supporting local jobs. More wins like this to come.
We don’t make our communities safer when law enforcement hides behind masks. We make all of us safer, & strengthen our democracy, when we have ways of keeping all law enforcement, including ICE, accountable. That’s why I’m a cosponsor on the No Masks for ICE Act. Take a listen on KNX Radio here:
