Across the country and right here in NH, we lose far too many loved ones to breast cancer every year. I had an important conversation with the NH Breast Cancer Coalition about how we can work together to support Granite Staters with breast cancer and improve access to quality, life-saving care.
❓Did you know: Small businesses make up 99% of all businesses in New Hampshire. This #NationalSmallBusinessWeek, we celebrate the incredible Granite State entrepreneurs, small business owners, and employees that drive our economy and our communities.
On #NationalNursesDay, I hope you join me in thanking the dedicated nurses and healthcare workers who keep our families and communities healthy. Whether it’s fighting to protect Medicaid or expanding access to support, I am proud to bring the voices of New Hampshire’s nurses to Congress.
This senseless violence is heartbreaking, and it will never be tolerated. As we continue to mourn the lives lost, my prayers are with the innocent tourists and bystanders who were killed in this brutal act of terrorism in Kashmir.
‼️The House passed the ACES Act, bipartisan legislation I helped lead to lower military aviation cancer rates. We owe a sacred obligation to the women and men who serve our country in uniform. That includes fully understanding the health risks our aviators face while protecting our country.
Education is an essential guardrail for our democracy, and teaching is the ultimate act of optimism. Especially today. During #TeacherAppreciationWeek, I hope you join me in thanking teachers across New Hampshire who are educating the next generation of leaders. 🇺🇸
NH is a safer place to call home thanks to the selfless firefighters who put themselves in harm’s way every day. On #InternationalFirefightersDay, I hope you join me in recognizing & honoring the sacrifice & bravery of our Granite State firefighters. I’ll always champion their voices in Congress.
Our rural hospitals are operating on the slimmest of margins—if Republicans’ proposed cuts to Medicaid go into effect, many of them will face a true crisis. Protecting Medicaid is a matter of life & death for thousands of people across NH. I'm fighting with everything I’ve got to defend it.
As congressional Republicans debate cutting Medicaid, New Hampshire's rural hospitals are sounding the alarm about what that would mean for their services and, most importantly, their patients. From @willskipworth.bsky.social #NHPolitics
The Trump Administration’s proposal to gut LIHEAP is downright dangerous. Tens of thousands of families across New Hampshire rely on this critical program for energy assistance. Slashing it when hardworking Granite Staters are already facing sky-high energy costs will hurt those most in need.
"Men hang out their signs indicative of their respective trades; shoe makers hang out a gigantic shoe; jewelers a monster watch, and the dentist hangs out a gold tooth; but up in the Mountains of New Hampshire, God Almighty has hung out a sign to show that there He makes men." – Daniel Webster
Lieutenant/Paramedic Jessica Wyman of Nashua Fire Rescue Lieutenant Chuck Gallant of Rye Fire Rescue Senior Instructor Jeffrey M. Whitcomb of the NH Department of Safety’s Division of Fire Standards and Training and EMS They will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸 (2/2)
When the President is talking about cuts to Title X funding, let’s be clear: He’s talking about cutting access to contraception. He’s talking about cuts to cancer screenings. He’s talking about taking away basic health care that keeps women across our state and our country alive.
We owe a debt of gratitude to the brave women and men who serve in our Armed Forces that can never be repaid. During #MilitaryAppreciationMonth, I hope you’ll join me in honoring the contributions and sacrifices of our active-duty servicemembers, veterans, and their families.
Our tax system relies on the confidence that your personal, private data will be kept safe. This week, I filed an amicus brief in Centro de Trabajadores Unidos v. Bessent, calling on the Court to uphold the long-standing firewall between the IRS and immigration enforcement.
