Holiday gifts are more expensive than last year. Somehow we're spending more but getting less. Affordability is not a hoax -- it's the Democrats ' priority, and we invite the majority to work with us on pragmatic policies to address the cost of living in America.
Let's be clear: the Speaker must bring this vote to the floor. His continuing refusal to legislate is a clear indication that he is unwilling to work on behalf of the American people.
Instead of voting on the three-year extension to ACA tax credits, Speaker Johnson decided to start his Christmas vacation early. Millions of Americans will now go into the holidays knowing their health insurance premiums will go up next year.
The 2026 NDAA became law last night, with dozens of wins for our servicemembers and for residents of PA-06. Swipe through to see the priorities we were able to secure in this bipartisan bill.
Democrats have been fighting to keep costs low for the American people and Republican leadership refuses to address the issue. It's time to put aside the partisanship and legislate.
Rep. Lawler joined my fellow Pennsylvanians Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, Rep. Rob Bresnahan & Rep. Ryan Mackenzie today in signing the discharge petition to extend ACA tax credits. Speaker Johnson must bring this vote to the floor before the holidays. The cost of Pennsylvanians' healthcare depends on it.
We are seeing the impacts of the Republican Budget Bill unfold in real time. Unemployment is rising, jobs are being lost, and life is getting even more expensive. The economy should work for hardworking Americans – not just the billionaire donors who line Republicans’ pockets.
Tomorrow, 12/16 – join me for our final town hall of the year. We will be joined by special guests Jessica Capistrant from the Phoenixville Chamber of Commerce and local business owner Sarah McDonald as we discuss the rising cost of living.
It's been 234 years since the Bill of Rights was ratified. Its author, James Madison, wrote that government "ought to be exercised for the benefit of the people" and created 10 crucial amendments to our Constitution that guarantee our fundamental freedoms and have shaped the fabric of this nation.
Hanukkah is a joyous celebration; however, this year it has been marked by unspeakable violence in Australia. The attack on people peacefully practicing their faith casts a dark shadow over the Festival of Lights.
The average cost for holiday gifts is up 26%, credit card debt is at an all-time high, and the President is trying to convince Americans that the affordability crisis is a hoax made up by the Democrats. Spoiler alert: it's not.
The average monthly cost of groceries in our district is nearly $200 more than the national average and rent prices are $400 above the rest of Pennsylvania. The affordability crisis continues to hurt our neighbors and Congress must act to curb rising prices.
