As families are getting ready to send kids back to school, they are facing higher prices for everything from basic classroom supplies and backpacks to new shoes, sports equipment and clothing. Tariffs are a tax, plain and simple. Americans families are paying the price.
Their work exemplifies the strength of Pennsylvania’s industrial base and I'm proud to stand behind the hardworking suppliers who help keep our Navy strong.
It was a pleasure to visit JA Moody in Malvern, PA and see firsthand the vital role they play in supporting U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and amphibious warships.
My thanks to the Piasecki team for their continued investment in Pennsylvania, their commitment to our armed forces, and for the opportunity to speak with staff in the Coatesville facility, which employs around 100 people.
Piasecki is a critical partner in our national defense so we also discussed the NDAA and the upcoming annual budget process which will restart after the August recess.
Piasecki Aircraft has been pushing the boundaries of experimental aviation since its founding in 1955, and is an important employer in our community. I had the chance to visit with employees and receive a briefing from leadership on the company's work with both the US Army and Navy.
local businesses figure out how to remain viable.
I am thankful for the time and candor shared by business leaders here. I will continue to work with my colleagues to find ways to provide relief from President Trump's disastrous economic strategies.

they show no sign of coming down. Industrial coffee equipment companies, coffee shops and roasters of all sizes across PA-06 are feeling squeezed because to survive, they have to raise prices to offset the tariffs. Facility expansion has been suspended and additional hiring is also on hold while our
I brought together a group of local coffee roasters and coffee-related business owners to talk about the issues facing their industry and impacting the growth of PA-06.
Coffee prices are 30% higher today than this time last year, and given President Trump's 50% tariff on Brazilian imports,
Follow along this week as I highlight my discussions with local businesses on managing through the Administration's chaotic tariff strategy, and time spent with our neighbors learning about how the economy is affecting them.
While President Trump is attempting to distract us from rising prices and unemployment, wars and starvation, and hidden files, I'm keeping my focus on PA-06 during the Congressional recess.
The Trump Administration should fight crime, homelessness, mental health issues and skyrocketing prices *legally* and in conjunction with Congress, not with another step toward authoritarian rule of America.
Homicide is down 12% and robbery is down 28%. Federalizing the police department in DC is an obscene overreach. It’s unnecessary, the department didn't ask for it and it sets an extremely dangerous precedent.
The number of lies and confabulations in President Trump's news conference this morning was staggering. According to the FBI and the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., overall violent crime in the nation's capital is in fact down 26% year to year.
As Co-Chair of the new BIOTech Caucus, I remain committed to advancing the US biotechnology industry, enhancing our world standing in the bio-innovation space, and creating jobs for the American people and will push the Administration to do the same.
Funding for projects like manufacturing plants and AI workforce readiness programs have already been awarded. Despite this, President Trump called for the bill's repeal in March.
The CHIPS and Science Act, with broad bipartisan support, was signed into law three years ago today with the vision of revolutionizing our nation's semiconductor supply-chain and cementing US superiority in a momentous time for technology and innovation.
I am proud to have helped secure over $950,000 to renovate this beautiful 9-acre community space with Senator Bob Casey, as well as a long list of other partners at the state and local levels. This renovation will make Ash Park a better, more welcoming gathering space for our community.
Ash Park has been a cherished part of the Coatesville community for more than 100 years, and this revitalization project will ensure that it remains that way for many more years to come.
wind turbine energy projects.
Last month, we set two national records for high energy demand. President Trump's policies are hurting us and making it harder to address the real needs of families, businesses and communities.
