Privileged to stand with Rossford Fire Department as they pinned 4 new full-time firefighters, bringing new heart to the city. Allison Robinson made history as the department's first full-time female firefighter. Their dedication embodies the spirit of public service, and NW Ohio is stronger for it.
I couldn't let #NationalMascotDay pass without celebrating two Toledo legends—Muddy and Muddonna! From ballpark cheers to community smiles, these two bring joy and pride to NW Ohio. Here’s to the heart, hustle, and feathered fun they bring to every game. Get out to a Mudhens game and say hello!

“I asked Grok” “I asked ChatGPT”
Well I asked the non-partisan CBO and they confirmed the GOP tax scam would hurt the finances of low-income Americans the most while giving benefits to the wealthiest among us.

'Extremely disturbing and unethical': new rules allow VA doctors to refuse to treat Democrats, unmarried veterans
Department of Veterans Affairs says the changes come in response to a Trump executive order 'defending women'
www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
My office has received many calls from veterans worried they will be denied care by the Department of Veterans Affairs because of their political affiliation or marital status. I call on Secretary Doug Collins to provide a full briefing to Congress and release all relevant documents to the public.
Celebrated the 10th annual TAPS Summer Polish Picnic at Oak Shade Grove in Oregon this weekend. Thank you to the many volunteers, dancers, and vendors for helping to share our region’s rich culture of Polish heritage.
Wishing all the Fathers, and father figures in NW Ohio, across the Buckeye State, and nationwide a Happy Father’s Day. May you get a chance to relax, and enjoy time spent with the one’s you love and nurture every day.

We need legislation to support local food purchase procurement, and empower our food banks to contract with local farmers. Sadly, this bill doesn't move our country forward. We have a whole big project to go to Mars, but can't figure out how to use the resources of USDA to empower our local farmers.

Ukraine has been at war for more than a decade. What they've done with drones is astounding, and it's going to change warfare. One of my questions for SecDef Hegseth is what he's doing to establish relations with Ukraine and not turn our back on them as an Administration — we must help Liberty win.

While SecDef Hegseth and the Trump Administration try to erase the legacy of Jackie Robinson and Medgar Evers, I thank @RepJamesClyburn.bsky.social for standing up to remind us all of their profound impact. Took a deep breath before thanking him for defending their legacy, and our history.

The 32 year career of American military pioneer Rear Admiral Alene Duerk of Defiance, Ohio was marked by fierce advocacy for women in our armed forces. I join @RepTimKennedy.bsky.social in requesting the Navy name a naval vessel in her honor as the first woman to achieve the rank of Admiral.
Celebrating Juneteenth 2025! Thank you @SEIULocal1.bsky.social for reminding us that every worker deserves a fair wage, equal treatment, dignity on the job and the promise of a better life for themselves and their family. I will always be in your corner.
Political violence is unAmerican. Praying for those affected, their families, and communities in Minnesota. May law enforcement bring the perpetrator to justice and remain safe as they do their work.
The winner of the 9th District’s 42nd Annual Congressional Art Competition, Sylvania Northview’s Caleb Maciejewski, joined us in DC to see his art put on display in the US Capitol. ‘Outside In’ represents the creativity and talent of our NW Ohio region and will be displayed until next May.
I voted NO on the reckless rescission bill. Cancelling Elmo won’t fix the cost-of-living crisis. Pulling the plug on PBS, NPR, and rural radio could mean no educational TV, cuts to emergency alerts and slashed local sports coverage. I stand with the American people who rely on voices they trust.
