What a birthday treat to talk with our young leaders of today.
As I travel across the second congressional district, I hear the same thing from small business owners.
Tariffs cost small businesses an estimated $83 billion last year. That is money that could have gone to:
✅ Workers
✅ Rent
✅ Inventory
✅ Keeping the doors open
We’ve seen this before. Tobacco companies targeted Black communities for decades, driving devastating health disparities.
I refuse to let another Black generation be taken advantage of by Big Tobacco reinvented.
The FDA caved to Trump’s pressure to approve flavored e-cigarettes. Kids and teenagers, especially Black youth, will pay the price. Flavored vapes are especially addicting, designed to pad the pockets of billionaire vape companies and to deteriorate our health.

They chose ICE over affordable healthcare, safer communities, and working families. Shame on Republicans.

Families are facing higher costs for groceries, rent, and utilities. The Lifeline program can alleviate internet costs.
