A War Powers Resolution is up for a vote today, another opportunity to end this war.
Republicans have a choice: vote to end it or keep supporting a war that's driven up costs for working families.
I hope they join us in voting to end it and stop driving costs higher.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of one of our nation’s greatest tragedies.
We honor the 2,977 lives lost that day, the thousands more who either became ill or died from the toxins at Ground Zero, and care for those who still carry the weight of their losses.

During Operation Midway Blitz, federal agents rappelled from helicopters into a South Shore apartment building, zip-tied families, and dragged children into the night.
A year later, many of those same families still have nowhere to call home. That is reprehensible.
As Trump tries to ban books and erase Black history, Lonnie Bunch III spent his career doing the opposite: telling the truth about America.
His leadership at the Smithsonian directly challenged those trying to sanitize our past.

It’s been a year since Trump’s Operation Midway Blitz terrorized our neighborhoods, separated thousands of families, and instilled fear into our communities.
However, our spirits are too strong to break. Together, we continue to stand against his efforts and support our neighbors.
Trump plans to desecrate Arlington National Cemetery’s sacred sightline to build an arch for himself.
Meanwhile, Americans are struggling to get by, and our soldiers continue to fight his chosen war.
Yet again, the President prioritizes his interests above the American people.
Happy birthday to the unconquerable and legendary Ruby Bridges! Her story and the legacy that followed remain an inspiration to us all.
May her incredible courage remind each of us that no room is off-limits, and we all have the power to break barriers and change history.
Charissa Berrini was a joy to everyone who knew her. As a Blue Island native, her passion for uplifting her community, her family, and educating youth was unmatched.
She will be deeply missed.

This Labor Day, I’m thinking about the Pullman porters, who, in 1925, organized the first all-black union, the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters.
Their fight helped build the labor movement and the Civil Rights Movement.
I’ll keep protecting the right for workers to organize.
