Anyone can buy a forced reset trigger without a background check — and without question as to why someone needs a gun with the same firing capacity as a machine gun.
Read my full statement here:

Forced reset triggers allow semi-automatic guns to fire as rapidly as a machine gun.
And President Trump just caved to the gun lobby and allowed them to be purchased without regulation.
GOOD NEWS: Republicans just failed to pass President Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill" — the one with $880 billion cuts to Medicaid — out of Budget Committee.
They'll be back next week with another scam.
I'll be ready to counter their attacks against Americans' healthcare every time.

The Republican budget cuts food assistance to help pay for tax cuts for billionaires. On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @repshontelbrown.bsky.social shows how House Democrats are fighting back every step of the way.
For 26.5 hours through the night, Democrats remained vigilant, offering 33 amendments to protect Medicaid as Republicans jammed through their $880 billion cut.
This won’t be the last battle.
I will continue to fight against Republicans' scam to steal healthcare from 13.7 million Americans.
Good morning!
Republicans scheduled their $880B cut to Medicaid overnight while people sleep.
Here's what you missed:
❌Republicans required their names to be covered on a poster that calls them out for ignoring their own constituents
✅Democrats exposed their lies b/c Medicaid cuts hurt EVERYONE
Republicans are trying to cut Medicaid under the cover of night — because they know how unpopular it is.
They cannot pull a fast one on the American people.
I’m still here. And I’m still fighting for people’s healthcare.
Republicans claim cutting Medicaid by $880 billion is about reducing waste.
They’re lying.
13.7 million Americans would lose healthcare.
Let’s call it what it is: Abandonment. Disinvestment. And disregard for human life.
Medicaid has been lifechanging for people in the Second District, Illinois, and across the country. It is a lifeline.
The American people deserve affordable healthcare.
Later this afternoon, I’m going into battle against House Republicans who are trying to slash Medicaid by $880 billion.
I sit on the @energycommerce.bsky.social. Republicans will have to go through me to get their Medicaid cuts passed.
I’m fighting tooth and nail for your healthcare.

Republicans are going to try to take health care away from tens of millions of Americans to give tax breaks to the wealthy and corporate interests.
In today’s Democratic Daily Download, Rep. Frank Pallone shares how Democrats are fighting back because Medicaid matters to the American people.
Edan Alexander is finally home. I’m thinking of Edan and his family as they begin to heal from unimaginable pain.
I urge for the continued release of all hostages, including the remains of four Americans to provide families with closure. We must secure a lasting peace in Gaza for all.
President Trump cancelled millions of dollars in grants — which were already allocated! — to lifesaving community violence intervention programs.
I spoke with Community Justice Action Fund to demand he reinstate funding.
To all CVI workers: I see you. I hear you. I’m fighting for you.
Libraries open up a world of possibilities, knowledge, and opportunity for people to explore different walks of life.
Dr. Carla Hayden, the nation’s Librarian of Congress, understood that.
For President Trump to fire her is shameful.
Pope Leo XIV grew up in Dolton — right here in the Second District!
I wish Pope Leo XIV wisdom and integrity as he leads the Church toward greater inclusion, stronger faith, and love for all.

Republicans voted to rename the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America. Seriously.
This morning, the Democratic Steering & Policy Committee heard from small business owners who are paying the price for Trump's trade war.
We're focused on what Americans actually care about.
Republicans want to cut Medicaid by $880 billion. It’s cruel. It’s evil. It’s against our mandate as public servants.
I spoke at the @CaringAcross.org 24-hour vigil today with a clear message: I will not let Republicans take away your healthcare.
Medicaid saves lives. Period.
Absolutely wonderful to meet Christina Perri, a singer who’s advocating for women on the Hill.
She told me about her two miscarriages, including her daughter Rosie at 38 weeks, due to an easily prevented blood clotting disorder.
Thank you, Christina, for sharing your story.
Great to meet with Railroad Day advocates today to talk about how freight rail supports jobs and infrastructure in the Second District!
Fun fact: Chicago is the busiest rail hub in North America, keeping freight moving throughout the country🚂. #RailDay2025
Don’t just take my word for it.
