Got into some good trouble at the U.S. Capitol today with @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social, @booker.senate.gov, and so many others. Trump wants to slash Social Security, Medicaid, and more—all to fund tax cuts for billionaires. Democrats and the American people are showing up to say hell NO!
I'm deeply saddened by the passing of Alexis Herman, our first Black Secretary of Labor. From her days working to desegregate schools in Mobile, AL, to supporting women in nontraditional jobs, Secretary Herman always worked to expand access to opportunity for all. Rest in power, Secretary Herman.
The Trump Administration is openly taking pages directly from the dictator playbook. Disappearing people for political speech. Attacking universities and law firms. Defying the courts. And now, arresting judges. The Constitutional Crisis is here. Judge Dugan's arrest must be expunged.
NEW: AG Pam Bondi warned that the arrest of Wisconsin judge Hannah Dugan is a warning to other judges: "we will prosecute you"
I’m devastated by this horrific attack on tourists and civilians in Kashmir. As Ranking Member of @houseforeign.bsky.social’s South & Central Asia subcommittee, I condemn heinous acts of terrorism in the region. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.
The world has lost a leader of great moral courage. Whether serving the most vulnerable among us, fostering a more inclusive Church, or righting historical wrongs, Pope Francis always led with compassion, humility, and a deep commitment to faith. May he rest in peace.
After Pete Hegseth fired three top aides last week over Signal-gate, it’s now been revealed that Hegseth shared attack plans in yet another Signal chat. Hegseth has repeatedly put our troops’ lives and national security at risk—he must be fired.
My mom was an actress—I was raised in the theater. I know that when productions are made in Hollywood, it’s not just the big stars who benefit—the union members and small businesses who make it all happen see the rewards too. I’m fighting to ensure production stays in LA.
