Congress has just 9 legislative days left in this year, and Republicans still don’t have a plan to extend ACA subsidies to lower Americans’ skyrocketing healthcare costs.

Thanks to the 5,600+ Californians who hopped on my tele-town hall on Sunday, where I took questions on the biggest issues facing #CA18, from healthcare to affordability. Listen here:

I had a wonderful meeting with the San Jose African American Community Service Agency last week to discuss all the services they provide and tour their Family Resource Center. Their educational, social, and recreational programs are an important part of fostering a strong and inclusive San Jose.
Trump’s trade war is killing small businesses. His Republican allies in Congress know this and aren’t stopping him.
TOMORROW: Join me for a tele-town hall where I’ll answer questions about the biggest issues facing #CA18. Talk to you then!
I had a great time meeting with students today at The Foundation for Hispanic Education in East San Jose. In Congress, I’m focused on ensuring every student gets the resources they need to reach their full potential.
Today marks 70 years since the Montgomery Bus Boycotts began, a critical moment for the Civil Rights Movement. We must continue the work of Rosa Parks and Dr. King by speaking out against injustice and fighting for a nation that’s free and fair for all.

It’s simply not possible for this Administration to talk credibly about competing with China while undermining NASA and our research enterprise.
Trump said he would revive manufacturing in America - he’s done the exact opposite with his tariffs, and House Republicans are blindly following along. We must reverse course.
There are so many issues facing our country, from rising healthcare costs to brutal immigration raids. I want to hear from constituents about their concerns and answer questions about how I’m fighting for #CA18 in Congress.
Join me on Dec 7 @ 2pm for a tele-town hall:

FBI Director Kash Patel is using taxpayer funds to fly around on a $62 million jet to his girlfriend’s concerts…all while Americans struggle to pay for healthcare, rent, and groceries.
Republicans slashed food assistance by $187 billion in their Big Ugly Law.
Taking food away from millions of children, veterans, and seniors is immoral, and that’s why I’m an original co-sponsor of @repjahanahayes.bsky.social’s bill to reverse these disastrous cuts to SNAP.
Trump is making Americans’ utility bills go up with his attacks on renewable energy. About 14 million Americans now have severe utility debt.
Republicans in Congress need to act on this before more families have their power shut off. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
It was a pleasure to visit Wonder Wood Ranch in Monterey County to learn about the equine therapy and nurturing environment they provide to local youth. I’m always proud to support funding for impactful services such as this in our community.
Thanksgiving is more expensive this year due to Trump’s economic policies. 7 in 10 Americans say their grocery prices have risen in the last year. Trump can say costs are going down all he wants, but anybody who actually buys their own food knows it’s a lie.
I’m thankful for my family, my community, and the brave men and women who protect our country every day. From the bottom of my heart, happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!
I dropped by the Food Bank for Monterey County this week to discuss the essential services they provide to our community. This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for their work, and I will always fight in Congress to protect food assistance programs.
One of my favorite things to make for Thanksgiving is my pecan pie. It’s an easy recipe to follow, and I’m proud to say it won a blue ribbon in my neighborhood bake-off. Hope you enjoy it!
