When you solve for the wrong problem, not only do you not get the solution, you can cause harm. The President wasted water that was being saved for farmers for a PR stunt.
This was harmful, ludicrous, and solved nothing.

The Republican witnesses at today’s hearing tried to blame Californians for the fires. Had to set the record straight.
Thank you Rep Brad Sherman for hosting a briefing with first responders and tour of the fire damage with House Democratic Leadership earlier this week.
We are unified in fighting for federal assistance to disaster victims without conditions.
Congratulations to Democrat Mike Zimmer for flipping an Iowa State Senate District from red to blue!
Trump’s unconstitutional order freezes funding that:
-Provides medical care to veterans
-Helps farmers fight the bird flu
-Supplies bullet proof vests to police officers
Trump’s actions will increase crime, increase healthcare costs and increase the price of eggs.
With Congressman Mark Takano and State Senator Tom Umberg at the ceremonial swearing in of Dave Min!
Dave was a fantastic State Senator and is a fantastic Member of Congress.
Grocery prices will rise due to Republican policies.
“75% of immigrant farm workers didn’t show up yesterday in Bakersfield because of fears of ICE raids under the new presidency.”
I went through the list of executive orders issued by the current President. None of them lower the price of eggs. Not a single one. In fact, some of the executive orders will raise your costs, such as on prescription drugs.
Pardoning criminals who hurt police officers on January 6 is massively disrespectful to law enforcement.
And how does this lower the price of eggs? The American people did not elect the current President because the people want lawlessness. The people want lower prices.
Thank you to Rep Brad Sherman and first responders for leading a briefing and tour yesterday of the Palisades Fire devastation.
Joined with Sen Schiff and Representatives Judy Chu, Norma Torres, Julia Brownley, Sydney Kamlager-Dove, and George Whitesides.
Thank you to Rep Judy Chu for leading a briefing and tour with local officials of the Eaton Fire devastation.
Joined with Sen Schiff and Representatives Brad Sherman, Nanette Barragan, Dave Min, George Whitesides and Derek Tran.
TRUTH: The massive fire that destroyed Altadena was not a “forest fire.” The fire had nothing to do with forest management or water policy.
Three main reasons the fire exploded:
1. Drought-like conditions
2. Very low relative humidity
3. Santa Ana winds reaching 100 mph

“California Rep. Ted Lieu, vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus, said in an interview. ‘We've always helped victims of disasters, and to leverage their pain and suffering on totally unrelated issues — that is inappropriate.’”

Thanked first responders and CA National Guard members today for keeping us safe during the fires.
If folks engage in looting in evacuated areas, they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Visited the evacuation shelter at Westwood Recreation Center. Thank you to the American Red Cross for all they are doing to help those affected by the fires. For a list of evacuation shelters, go to this link: lacounty.gov/emergency/
At the Los Angeles Emergency Operations Center this evening with local, state and federal officials. Thank you to all the first responders for their service and for keeping us safe.
Just got off the phone with President Biden. Thank you @POTUS for everything you have done and continue to do to help during the unprecedented wildfires in greater Los Angeles.
Contrast this presidential leadership with those who wanted a government shutdown.
Met with FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell at the Palisades Incident Command Post this afternoon. Thank you to @fema @FEMARegion9 for their assistance. Thank you to all the first responders who continue to keep us safe.
